Staring at how uncomfortable Senechov is in front of my parents looks so hilarious.
I never thought he'll be like this. I thought he was pretty confident while we were entering the house. Then suddenly, he acted so uneasy!
I could feel his nerves as he was holding my hands a little hardly.
"So.." Charlie's facial expression doesn't help. She put on a strict image, far from her normal attitude which is kind.
I didn't think she could pull it off though. But for me she looks funny wearing that serious expression.
"Come on, mom!" Natatawa kong saad.
"What?" Nangingiting sagot niya.
Finally she showed her smile! She just wanted to scare off Senechov. But I know better. Charlie's okay whoever I choose to be with. As long as she knows I am happy. She will always support me. So there's nothing Senechov should be scared about.
"Honey, don't scare him off. You're not like that with Chad." Oliver stated.
Pinandilatan ko ng mata si Oliver. He's not helping either!
"Oops, sorry."
Chad decided to go out today. Hindi ko maiwasang isipin na umiiwas siya sa amin but I know better. And I think it's a good decision too, for him and for us.
"It's okay, sir. It doesn't matter. I'm with her now. That's all that matters." Senechov smiled.
I can feel him gaining his confidence. Napangiti ako. Sa wakas. Hindi ako sanay na hindi siya rude but I'm not saying he should be.
"I haven't properly introduced myself by the way. I'm Senechov Stanford." inilahad niya ang kamay kay Oliver pagkatapos ay kay Charlie.
"I'm Oliver Adams and this is my wife, Charlie. I'm glad you visited us. I mean, we're not that traditional like Filipinos but it means a lot to us that you showed and introduced yourself for our daughter."
"He's so handsome!" Charlie gushed and whispered to me as we were preparing for our merienda.
Gumawa ng banana cue si Charlie. Mukhang sanay na sanay talaga sila sa pagkain ng mga Pinoy. Mas alam pa nilang lutuin ang mga Filipino delicacies kaysa sa akin. I guess they even love our culture more than some Filipino's.
May ginawa rin naman siyang ibang desserts maliban sa banana cue. She ordered pizza as well.
"He is." natatawa kong pakli.
Kahit talaga sa mga may edad, nagwo-work ang charm niya.
I can't help but be ecstatic. I mean I didn't think it would matter that Senechov wanted to meet my parents but actually it does! I didn't think it would feel like this. It's like he's saying to me that he's serious with our relationship and he wanted to know everything about me.
"I mean Chad have good looks but he's way different! I mean good different. He's like a handsome Filipino with a twist. I think he have something foreign in him though. It could be his eyes."
Now that I think of it, mukha ngang may ibang lahi sila. His Dad looks like a foreigner. Hindi ko lang naitanong sa kanya. Apelyido pa lang, hindi na pang-pinoy.
I haven't really asked a lot of information from Cleo. She was the one who searched the Stanford.
"You're right. But I never thought of it. I should probably ask him."
