(Isa's POV)

Once doc patched Nik up, he left leaving us alone.

"He already knew." Nik said as he put his shirt back on.

"He did?"

"Yep. You think your father let you come here without one of his men watching you?"

I rolled my eyes. "Figures. Still doesn't explain why he didn't kill you."

"He knows about the note. He knows I'm the one that warned Stefano."

"So he owes you."

Nik chuckled. "Your father owes no one. Everyone owes him."

"But you saved my mom."

"He saved my mother and sister."

"What?"

He nodded. "He didn't kill them that night. What would be the point to kill them if my father didn't care. It's like when my father killed your family in Italy. It didn't do any good because your father didn't care."

"Where are they? Did he say?"

"They're here. It's Zia. She's my mother."

"She is?"

"Yeah. Her real name is Sasha. My sister's name is Annalise. She's in college. Wants to be a lawyer."

"I wish Zi...Sasha was here today. It's her day off."

"It okay. I've gone this long. It won't hurt me to go another day." He said pulling my close.

I was carefully to avoid his shoulder and side.

"What happens now?" I asked.

"Now, we can start having sleepovers." He winked making me blush.

"Maybe we should wait till my parents leave. Don't wanna risk it just yet." I teased.

"Maybe." He mumbled, moving in to kiss me.

It was then that we heard someone walking towards us.

It was my parents.

"All patched up?" Mom asked Nik.

"Yes, ma'am." He smiled.

"Good." She smiled before looking at me. "Let's go fix something to eat."

I knew that was her way of trying to get us apart.

"Okay."

I followed her into the kitchen before speaking.

"Is something going on?" I asked.

"Your father got a call a few minutes ago."

"And?"

"It was Valentine."

"What's happened?"

"There was an attack."

"Where? On who?"

"Knox and his men, Valentine, Lorenzo, and your father's men at the warehouse."

"Is everyone okay?"

"There were a few casualties."

"Knox and Scarlett?"

"Fine. So is Sadie. Your brothers are fine as well."

"Do we know who did it?"

"The same symbol was left on the wall."

"What symbol?"
