Louis waited in the drawing room for Jessica to come and read to him. Each time she came, he felt closer to her. Though they did not, so much, speak directly to each other, just being near her was enough. He knew if he were going to find the true essence of the woman he would have to get her to talk more to him. He smiled at thoughts of Jessica. She was a very talented woman. Every time he discovered something new about her it only served to make him want to know more.

He turned to see her standing at the door. Drew in a long slow lungful of air at the sight of her, and then said, "Jessica, come in." Louis watched her skirt swirled gently around her legs as her hips swayed. She was still shy of him and he liked this about her. She was not forward like the women of his past. He found it an exciting thought that one day perhaps, he would be the man to bring her to reveal her whole self. As she sat, he also sat.

Louis then leant forward and said, "You are full of surprises, Jessica."

She gave him a puzzled look. "I am sorry, Master. I don't understand your meaning."

Louis laughed. She blushed feeling uncertain of why he was laughing at her. "Your skill as a piano player." He smiled, seeing he had embarrassed her, and then leaned back in his chair. "You play very well."

"Thank you, Sir." She searched the floor instead of looking at him knowing she was blushing at the compliment.

"Please read, Jessica." Louis sat comfortably in his chair and absorbed her with his gaze. His eyes travelled from her hair to her face, down her arms to her lap, and then on to her legs and, her boots. Her boots, she still wore her old worn boots.

"Jessica!"

She stopped reading and looked up at him in alarm, fearing the urgency in his voice. He was standing and holding his hand out to her. She looked from his face to his hand, and then back at his face. "Yes, Master?"

Louis took the book from her. He seized her hand and pulled her to her feet. "Come with me."

When he led her to the door of his bedroom Jessica's stomach lurched. She stiffened.

Louis felt her tense. He couldn't help but smile to himself at what she must be thinking.

He opened the door and led her inside.

"Is there something I have forgotten to do, Master?"

Louis saw the anguish on her face. He smiled and gently touched her cheek with the back of his hand. "No there is something I have forgotten to do." He let go of her hand and pointed to his armchair. "Please sit, Jessica."

She warily sat down and watched as Louis rummaged in the back of his cupboard. He turned to face her with a box in his hands. "I have been meaning to give you these for some time. I am afraid it slipped my mind." Louis opened the box and pulled out a pair of boots.

Jessica blushed in recognition and lowered her face to the floor. Louis sat on the footstool and lifted her foot to his lap. Jessica gasped in surprise. He smiled at her as he undid the laces on her old boot. "If you recall I tried to give these to you once before." He grinned even more at her embarrassment. "But you were not very agreeable then." Their eyes met. Jessica searched his face for signs of anger as he said, "I hope you are more agreeable now."

She lowered her eyes and felt as though her face must be bright red. She remembered her defiance, his non-reaction to it, and then the following events. "I am sorry, Master."

Louis chuckled, "Ah...there you go again, apologizing, when I have not asked for an apology." He held her face in his hand so she would not turn away from him. "Tell me you will wear them." Louis looked seriously at her and continued to hold her face. They sat like this for a moment, just looking at each other. There was a spark between them, which they both felt. "Will you?" he asked.

"Yes, Master. Thank you." She couldn't help but look away.

Louis wanted her so much. The urge to kiss her pushed him forward. He drew her face toward him and gently touched her lips with his.

Jessica stiffened and pulled her head away.

Her rejection stung Louis hard. He hadn't meant to kiss her. Annoyed and embarrassed for exposing himself he released her chin and murmured, "Merry Christmas, Jessica."

Louis watched her mouth as she laughed. Her lips were full and painted. He was sixteen. She seemed so much older and worldlier than he. When she came to him in the middle of the night it was in his father's house. She woke him with a gentle kiss to his forehead. Louis opened his eyes and focused on the woman as she leaned over him. He said nothing but watched as she stood and slowly removed the soft lacy nightdress that covered her body. His mouth went dry. He could not speak but felt his penis grow. She kissed him on the lips. Louis sat with his mouth opened too afraid to move and wondering if it were a dream. She slid into the bed beside him and undid his nightclothes. Her hand was warm and soft. She smiled and kissed him again. Louis grabbed her head and clumsily kissed her back.

"Shh...Shh...not so fast," she cooed and giggled at his eagerness. "Do as I do and I will teach you to be a man."

When she ran her hand down his body and touched his penis, Louis trembled, moaned, and then ejaculated in her palm. He was embarrassed that he'd not been able to control himself. Tears ran down his cheeks. She kissed them from his face. "Shush now. It is good, yes. My touching you?"

Louis nodded his head quickly.

She laughed and said, "So, why are you crying?"

He couldn't answer, so she kissed him once more and taught him to be a man.

Louis left Jessica with one boot on and one boot off. Jessica sat stunned. She wasn't sure what had just happened. Had he merely kissed her Merry Christmas or, was it more than that? She put her old boot back on and taking the new boots with her, went to her room.
