Right outside of the bookstore. The whole mall empty like the end of the day. Eyes on the screen, I paid an insane amount of attention to it.

Tony Stark approached Pietro, everyone was dying to get a reaction because if he really was the Spider, he'd know the father of the girl he kidnapped.

They got a reaction, Pietro quickly had his eyes widened open. The whole room burst out cursing.

"That's the fucker! Let's get him."

"Holy shit we finally got him."

"Wait, we need a signal from Tony Stark to confirm first."

"Silent." I said, and they all shut up. "Hear what they're saying."

They had lip reader right at the monitor to translate to us second for second, I was lucky I shut Pietro out before he said anything other than what, why, where, yes.

The lip reader said right after Stark said something.

"You know me?"

Then right after Pietro.

"Of course I do." His reply was not as in the Spider, but for how he stalked half my life and know way too much of me.

"Where is she?"

"All they care about is (Y/n)." Pietro sighed in the screen. "(Y/n) that, (Y/n) this. Wanda, everyone just forgot her name overnight."

"You are really him, are you? The infamous Spider."

"Infamous." He smiled. "Right, that, that feels good. To be known."

God damn it. He just needed to pretend he was me and have the whole world focusing on him, and maybe get away with it because lack of evidence, give me enough time to run without leaving trails, not brag about who he now became right away.

"You fucker." The lip reader then slapped her mouth.

"He gave a signal! The word fucker's here! Go right in!" Doctor Strange shouted, I saw armed men going in stealthily from all directions.

"Forget about it old man, your little girl's in love with a serial killer." The lip reader continued.

"Is she still alive?" She didn't shout it but Stark in the screen sure did.

"Oh, better than ever."

Before the soldier go right in, before any of us had a chance to stop, Tony Stark took out his gun and shot Pietro right in his stomach.

We all flinched, Barnes yelled angrily, I turned around to see everyone lost their minds. Except for Steve Rogers.

So... that was the plan, huh?
