Color.

Most people know what they look like.

Most people know the names of the colors they see everyday.

The sky is blue, the grass is green, etc.

Well, everything is black, white, and gray to anyone who hasn't found their soulmate.

And I am one of those people.

The thing is I love to paint and draw but I don't know what colors look like so I just guess.

Sometimes my friends say they look really amazing but other times there is a green giraffe, whatever that means.

I walk down the street with Andi and Buffy.

Two of my friends that I used to have small crushes on.

"Oooo, let's go in here Walker,"Andi said pulling me into a music store.

"Andi, why do we have to look at old records that we don't have a player for,"Buffy asks.

"These don't have to be used for music. They could be craft supplies,"Andi says.

I start flipping through some of the records and see one of my favorite bands.

"I love this album,"I exclaim taking the record out and placing it on the player in the store.

Fitz and the Tantrums plays throughout the store which is mostly empty.

"Let's dance,"Buffy says grabbing Andi and my hands as we dance around the small store.

"Sick, I love this album,"A voice says,"It's docious magocious."

We turn around from our dance party and I lock eyes with the boy coming from the back room.

He has beautiful eyes, but I don't know what color to call them.

Wait, I can see color.

I look at him blushing and look down.

"I'm - I'm Jonah,"The boy says.

"Andi,"Andi greets.

"I'm Buffy,"Buffy says.

Wow, they look amazing in color.

"I-I'm Walker,"I stutter looking up again.

Andi and Buffy both look at me and then at Jonah.

It takes them a second before they quickly return to album hunting.

Jonah comes over and pulls another album from the bin.

"If you like that album then listen to this one,"He says replacing the records.

I don't recognize the band and look over to read the top of the record.

"Hmm, the Jonas Brothers have a record. Didn't expect that,"I say.

"Well, It was very limited edition and not many people bought it,"Jonah says,"But I still love Year 3000."

He quickly pulls the guitar he had slung over his shoulder to the front of him.

When the song starts he begins to pretend to play.

I pretend to sing both of us laughing.

"Oh gosh, Jonah stop playing that trash again,"Someone calls from the back.

"Hmm, how many times do you listen to this a day,"I ask.

"I limit myself to once.....every hour,"He says smiling.

He has dimples, adorable dimples.

"You know, the Jonas Brothers are coming to town soon,"He says.

I look up to meet his eyes again.

"It would be a great way to get to know somebody,"Jonah says.

"Was that your way of asking me on a date,"I ask.

"Is it so wrong to want to take my soulmate out on a date,"Jonah asks.

"No,"I answer,"And it was cute."

"Hmm,"He says,"Just like someone else I know."
