Xenia Pov

Okay! Fine! I promise but now out with it, just speak and tell me all I want to know, and Mary? Without any lies..." Xyon warned.

I took his hand in mine and looked him straight in the eye to which his eyes widened with surprise at my action yet he kept quiet "promise me you will forgive Jeffery for lying to you! He only did that to protect me and upon my request, so if there is any kind of punishment it's I who deserve it not him" I said firmly, "and Xyon know this, if you do punish him you will be setting a chain reaction in which no one will ever want to help anyone in need of help. You will set an example for as to what happens to a kind hearted person who goes against all odds to help others, and by your own doing you are going to make sure there are no more Jefferys ever help a Marry in need..." I said imploringly.

Xyon was quiet for a long moment still holding my hand and looking me deep in my eyes he slowly exhaled a long breath "as much as I hate to go against my own rules and forgiving a traitor is a no way in hell situation for me" two tears betrayed me by rolling down my cheeks silently yet I didn't waver my eyes from his. He brought my hand to his lips and kissed it softly "but my dear Mary I don't know how you do it but you have the power to make any person do what you want" he said almost to himself amusingly "so I promise, I promise I won't punish him even if logically and in my mind I know he deserves the punishment, for this only one time in my life I am going to allow my heart to make the decision instead of my head. You have my word no harm shall befall him" He promised.

I took a deep calming breath to calm all my jittery nerves "My Pack's name is Half Moon, Xyon gasped yet kept on silent and watching me, I continued, which was attacked not long ago and as far as I know all my family and friends have been brutally slaughtered" I said meeting his shocked eyes with may sad teary eyes "one of our priests sent me here and asked me to come to you for help as you are not only an Alpha but the head of council,

and I know I should have told you from the beginning but can you imagine what I went through when in an instant everyone and everything that I knew was snatched from me leaving me all alone to fend for myself in a place where I had no one to count on or trust and moreover I didn't know where the people responsible for my pack's death were, they could have been anyone and anywhere" I took another breath to calm myself yet I was quickly spiraling out of control my emotions were all over the place.

"So I am really sorry for not trusting you and spilling all my dark secrets the moment I met you, for excuse me if I was a bit scared to trust someone who not only I had never met but had a strict rule as to not have any females on his pack grounds even his own warriors couldn't have their mates with them" Xyon flinched visibly from my harsh words yet I kept on going "tell me dear Alpha how could I trust anyone when I was so broke and hurt and in an unknown territory where all of you were at an advantage yet for me anyone might turn out to be my enemy?

So excuse me for lying till I figured who I could trust and who wouldn't be violent, or take advantage of me; I might have made a mistake according to you but all I wanted was to be able to gather my strength physically and emotionally" I said with a sob, to which Xyon grabbed me and pulled me in his arms and started to soothe me with soft calming words yet I kept on sobbing and sniffling uncontrollably.

"Shhh... stop! Enough you don't need to say anything else, and I am so sorry for being such insensitive pig instead of helping you I went on fully trying to hurt you. I am really sorry please Mary forgive me" to which my sobs only grew louder and louder.

Xyon shifted me in his arms and brought me close to his face so that I could clearly see his expressions.

"We have some leads as to who is responsible for the attack on your pack" he commented I looked at him with sniffling and tears shining in my eyes, "who do you think they are?" I asked pleadingly, he took a loud breath and pulled me back in his arms.

"I am sorry kitten I can't tell until I have some solid proof but I promise the minute I have something substantial against them you are going to be the first person to know, okay?" he asked me I nodded my head then my eyes gleamed with mischief "okay but can't you just tell me who are you suspicious of? I promise not to breathe a word to anyone, I just want to know please" I asked with the most adorable cute puppy eyes that I could muster.

He kept staring at me and I could see his resolve slowly melting away after which I added a cute pout to my face that did the trick.

"I swear you are going to be the death of me" he said breathlessly while his eyes were fixed on my pouted lips.

"Fine I'll tell you but nothing I tell you will leave this room and you have to promise not to act foolishly due to any information I might give you" He ordered me pointedly.

"I promise, I won't tell or act foolishly" I said hurriedly, and I am guessing a bit too hurriedly for he chuckled "easy girl, calm your horses"

I grinned "I promise, I won't tell or act foolishly" I said slowly making sure to drag out each word as much as I could.

He looked at me one final time trying to make up his mind as to tell me or not and then suddenly he said,

"All our leads point us directly at Blue Creeks Pack".
