Xyon Pov

I saw Xenia charge towards me with so much anger and I knew all she wanted was to inflict as much pain as she could on me. I tried to dodge her but at the same time I didn’t want to leave her to hurt herself if I was out of the way and my thoughts were proved right as soon she was falling on the ground gripping her sides.

“Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” She screamed once again killing me as I ran to her and held her in my arms and placed her trembling body between my legs as we both of fell back on the ground.

“This is all because of you” she said in a deep guttural voice and tried to get out of my grasp but of course I didn’t allow her…

“Shhhhhhhh! I know, I know baby, and I am so so sorry” I said as I tried to take deep calming breaths by breathing her beautiful scent at the same time wanting her to calm down long enough to gather some strength for the final shift!

I wiped her sweaty forehead again and again with my palms trying to soothe her a bit but both of us were going through too much pain the only difference was that I was doing a good job hiding it.

 

“Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” cut loudly out of her throat…

Octavius Pov

We all her Xenia’s loud scream! What the f*ck are you doing to her man? I asked myself silently as we ran towards the direction of her scream…

I was still a few steps away from the cave where Xander was hiding but our warriors were already in the cave and next all I heard were loud growls and people shifting into their wolves and attacking Xyon!

Shifting into my own wolf I ran into the cave and stopped dead in my tracks!

   Nearly thirty werewolves entered some in wolf and some in human form and were attacking Xyon biting and trying to tear him away from the screaming Xenia. But strangely, Xyon was still in his human form even though he was being brutally attacked and was holding the screaming Xenia who was bleeding and her clothes were torn apart.

   Anyone seeing the scene in front of us would assume that Xyon was raping and killing her and that is why he was being attacked even in his human form by his own family and friends, but only I and Ross knew that the reality was something totally different…  Xenia was going through a shift her shift! Because we had seen Xyon go through the same not long ago!

I and Ross tried to stop the pack of mad wolves attacking him but we were only two and they were over thirty and they were like mad dogs on him but all he did was take all the blows and attacks without defending himself as he was only paying attention to his bleeding and hurt mate.

I growled loudly trying to get their attention I and Ross tried again to gain their attention by mindlinking them Direct orders to stop, but they were all too engrossed and fixated on their target for they were furious as to why he wasn’t letting Xenia go!

The scene unfolding in front of us was literally breaking me and Ross to million pieces, how stupid could they be? I mean seriously he wasn’t even shifting into his wolf to stop the attacks or to heal faster but the enraged werewolves didn’t even give him the benefit of doubt. All Xyon did was try to hug his shouting mate who was now whimpering as he was violently flung to the end of the cave…

Laying on the ground both Xyon and Xenia were approached by the wolves, those going to Xenia were wanting to help her and those going to Xyon were wanting to confine the monster as this is what he was in their eyes now…

But no one paid attention to what was really happening between the two as their pain filled eyes were locked on each other, other than me and Ross and we were watching mesmerized by what was happening…

Xenia’s screams had stopped and she was trying to communicate with Xyon as her eyes never left Xyon’s…

Xenia Pov

“Why didn’t you stop them, why did you allow them to hurt you?’ I mindlinked Xyon needing answers right now at this moment.

He closed his eyes tiredly not wanting me to see the pain reflected deeply in them, my stupid mate forgot that I didn’t need to see, all I needed was to feel and I’d know what was going though each fiber of his body…

‘Babe, do you trust me?’ he asked me I nodded still unsure what he meant by it and he must have felt it.

 ‘Baby just this once let go for me and let’s ride this together okay?’ he said as he was pushed roughly up the wall by two wolves. I tried to growl at them to stop them but the look he gave me broke, stopped, and confused me.

‘Don’t, just gather your strength for me’ he mindlinked me as he was being punched repeatedly by one of our warriors who was also in his human form, but my rage started to build and then everything just stopped…

I felt as if I was just a bystander not knowing what was happening it was an almost out of the body experience…

Suddenly my bleeding stopped my body started to morph into something completely alien to me! As I locked scared and confused eyes with Xyon only to see that his once icy blue eyes were completely amaranthine in color! I sucked in a deep breath as I saw Xyon shift into his Amarok right before me, slowly transfixed by the beauty of the beast in front of me that had my heart pounding faster and faster with each glance that fell from my eyes on his intoxicating body… Catching my glossed over gaze over his body he let out a very loud growl and came towards me in a few long strides and strangely the wolves were no longer trying to stop him nor attack him as they were somehow all frozen statues on their spots and looking at me???

When he was near me he faced me…

‘Thousand times more beautiful than I might have ever dreamt of you to be’ he pushed his thought into my head…

Bizarrely enough my head reached just bellow his shoulder and in his Amarok form he was a giant?

Looking down at my hands and body I sucked in a sharp breath as my whole body was covered in white fur with violet paws! Before I let out a scream of astonishment I heard her! For the first time ever I heard her but deep down I knew that I have always somehow felt her with me?

‘Took you long enough to come after me’ she pushed our thought in a very upset voice into Xander’s head making Xander catch his breath and whisper aloud…

“Cynthia!”

Okay guys I just updated because I hated leaving you guys and this coming week is like the worst week to come work wise and I won’t have time to even breathe! So since I love you guys so much I am doing this upload to ease your minds… hopefully it will be eased… I am still feeling emotional with all their shift and all. I do have one question do you guys think my writing is too emotional or is it the right amount of emotional? Just curious!
