Xenia Pov

“Baby, are you sure you are okay?”

I asked Xyon for the hundredth time this morning. All night long he had a slight fever and an upset stomach. It is strange for a werewolf especially an alpha to fall sick but he was really showing signs of a bad flu case and no matter how many times I tried to force him to take some medications he strongly refused like a stubborn child…

Yesterday after I had asked them what they wanted to initiate me into they told me it was time for me to take my formal place as their Luna and thus they wanted to throw me a huge party and invite all the neighboring packs because it’s not an every day event that their Alpha finds his mate.

(True, I couldn’t agree more!)

Not long after we had retired to bed and talked about my initiation party Xyon had started to feel unwell. At first we thought it was just due to being tired but now I am not so sure…

“Ughhh! Xyon I swear I am going to call the pack doctor and I don’t care what you say” I said as I was leaving the room going to have a talk with the doctor.

“No! Don’t leave me alone” he begged in a grumpy voice as I turned to look at him my heart broke at the pleading look in his eyes.

I went running back to his side and tried to hug him but he refused sternly “no Xenia don’t, I don’t want to give you my germs” he said in a gruff voice. I knew he was right but I wanted to feel his arms and I wanted to comfort him.

I felt so helpless and I just wanted him to be well already…

Enough this has gone along for too far. A whole night and half of this morning is more than enough for my wolfie to be sick and he can complain as much as he wants but I’ll be damned if I don’t force every medication in the whole damn pharmacy down his throat to make him feel better!

With that in mind I left my grumbling mate and went straight to have a word with our doctor.

(Fourteen years ago…)

Sitting around the large oval table the council had called for an immediate meeting due to the current situation that they had found themselves in.

All the big shots in the werewolf society were seated in this meeting and all were trying their best to come up with a solution for their present predicament.

“Are you sure he is one of them?” Asked Alpha George.

“Of course I am! As head of the council I make sure to keep track on all of them even before they find out” Alpha Mikhail stated offended that one of his own would doubt him.

“Well, is there a possibility that he won’t be one?” Alpha Rupert asked.

“No! everything points that he is going to complete his shift a week after he is mated to his mate and if she is his true mate than it will take him only a day or two” Alpha Mikhail warned darkly.
