I just kept looking at them as if they had all just lost their freaking minds.

“Firstly, I really don’t think being with or away from my mate is anyone’s concern other than me and him, and secondly, no, such things do not take so much of a long time because I myself have a remedy that won’t take more than one day to work. All I need is Jeffery’s permission to begin it and then I am sure Xyon will be back and so will my wolf!

After my little outburst downstairs I flew back to my room leaving everyone to digest the piece of information I had departed them with. I knew any second now I was going to be faced with an angry beta but then again I knew that would happen the minute I decided to play my little stunt.

I heard a knock on my door.

“Come in” I said while facing the door waiting for who ever was on the other side to enter.

A very worried Jeffery and Xavier entered the room looking at me as if I had lost my mind completely.

Jeffery was the first to enter “how are you keeping up?” He asked while taking a seat on the settee next to me.

“I guess you can say fine with everything that has been going on” I said tentatively while my eyes kept wondering from Jeffery to Xavier.

“Are you sure you want to do this? We can’t predict the exact outcome of such an action” Jeffery said as he placed his left hand gently on my shoulder.

I let out a deep sigh “I don’t know, I really don’t know, but one thing that I do know and know it 100% is that I refuse to stay here sitting idle not doing anything while I and my mate are both going through this difficult phase and all I should expect is to trust some priests that seem to have all the time in the world on their hands not even seeing the urgency of the matter” I said breathlessly directing my answer to both Jeffery and Xavier.

Xavier was still standing by the door leaning on a wall with his feet crossed at the ankles.

“But still what if it backfires? What then? You can’t possibly be asking us to allow you to do something this risky I mean if you are insane we sure aren’t” Xavier said while walking towards me and crouching beside me.

“It’s a risk I am willing to take” I replied softly.

Xavier growled quietly and stood up “But it’s a risk we are not willing to take. Are you forgetting that You are OUR Luna?” He asked frustrated.

Jeffery stood and walked towards the door

“Look Xenia all I can say is that if you have made up your mind and that there is nothing we can do to change your mind then I will allow you to go through your plans but on one condition” he said firmly.

I raised an eyebrow while looking him straight in the eye.

“And what might that be?” I asked suddenly not liking where this conversation was leading.

“Well of course Xyon has to agree, you do know that he is still the alpha and anything that happens has to be accepted by him first, right?” Jeffery asked too politely.

“Of course, if that is what it takes I don’t think Xyon will refuse my request” I said sweetly.

Xavier grunted “If I were you I wouldn’t hold my breath because if there is one thing I am dead sure of is that he would never risk your life so how about we wait for Father Josef and Dave to come up with a safer solution (I scoffed to which he raised his hand) as much as I hate it and don’t trust them but right now they are our best shot so please if not for us or yourself do it for your mate, huh? I mean think about it what would happen to him if something went wrong and things didn’t go the way you hoped for?” He asked me enthusiastically.

I bowed my head and kept watching my hands as if they were the most interesting thing in the world. I could sense that both Jeffery and Xavier had relaxed for they also sensed my defeat, but I couldn’t declare my loss not without putting up an honest fight.

“I’ll ask for his permission as soon as he wakes up” I said softly making them both jerk their heads towards me in shock.

“He’ll never agree!” Xavier growled lowly.

“I guess we’ll see about that” I stated challengingly.

‘I can do this’ I kept repeating to myself over and over again because I knew how I was going to play the next few minutes would decided a lot of things starting with my authority and role as a Luna.

‘Finally!” I exclaimed after finding the one piece missing from our puzzle.

“Found what you are looking for Luna?” Said a very amused Ross while walking towards me and having a seat facing me.

My face grew pale yet I knew it was now or never I had to to this and do it fast.

“Yes, indeed I did find it” I replied with a sweet smile while taking a few steps backwards.

(Wrong move!)

He raised his left eyebrow at my retreating posture.

“Luna?” He smirked while I started to hyperventilate I knew I had no chance of winning a fight with him nor could I make him see my point of view because for him my and Xyon’s safety is the most important thing and if my actions have even the slightest amount of risk he wouldn’t allow it no matter what.

“You know I can’t allow you to do this, especially since Xyon himself never gave you permission and the last thing I was sure I heard Jeffery saying that you are allowed to carry your plan only if Xyon agrees. So tell me what am I missing here?” He asked gently yet I could feel him disappointed in me.

I didn’t like that but at the same time I had no other choice.

I came towards him and stood beside his chair, immediately he stood up standing tall and broad in front of me showing me in his stance that he cannot and will not be intimidated by me.

“Xyon agreed” I declared lying through my teeth and not caring because till he confirms or not I’ll be done here...
