Xyon’s wolf’s pov

Everything is a mess! Nothing is making sense I don’t know what to do. I am hungry and I can’t even eat what I have hunted! Because for some crazy reason eating a raw deer is so unappealing right now that I never thought I would live to see the day where I was repulsed of raw meat!

I moved from my spot and went deeper in the forest trying to get as far away from my pack as I could but at the same time making sure I don’t cross my own territory into someone’s else’s.

Well I guess I can stay a day without food it’s no big deal… right? In answer my stomach painfully grumbled. Well better luck next time I said while looking at the dead deer in front of me.

I was tired of all the events of today and judging by the night sky it must be way past midnight.

Remembering what I did to my mate makes me disgusted with myself. Instead of protecting her I hurt her! I wish I could just see if she was okay. NO! I can’t and won’t go back the farther I am away from her the better at least till Xyon is back. I can’t deal with hurting her ever again.

Suddenly I was shaken out of my deep thoughts when I heard snapping of a twig and some soft footsteps…

‘What are you doing here? Didn’t I make sure to all of you that I want nothing from any of you and to LEAVE ME THE F*UCK ALONE’ I mindlinked Jeffery because unfortunately since Xyon had pulled his disappearing act on me I can’t talk only mindlink my wolves.

Talk about frustration!

‘I came to make sure you are fine and have something to eat. You know that it’s not your fault’ Jeffery replied back unfazed by my outburst and kept on approaching me with some food in one hand while the other raised high in the air to show me that he meant no threat.

I growled at him ‘leave right now while I still have some control on myself. Jeffery don’t tempt me LEAVE” I ordered in my pure Alpha voice.

He whimpered quietly and exposed his neck to me while slowly he retrieved backwards making sure to leave the food for me on the ground.

‘Take the damn food with you’ I growled. He complied and the the next thing I knew he was gone.

Now please remind me again why in the world did I have to be so stubborn and hotheaded to make him take back the food when I am so hungry?

After sometime of dwelling and feeling sorry for myself I decided to call it a night and have some sleep.

Xenia Pov

It’s been almost an hour since I came here looking for Xyon and of course to the distaste and refusal of all but when they saw that I was hell bent in my opinion and I would not take no for an answer they all backed down.

 

(Before an hour)

“Okay Luna but at least let us escort you, you know he is dangerous and he might end up hurting you and that will just end  up making him more bitter and angry” Xavier said while standing beside me and mindlinking a few other of our warriors to join us.

“No!” I simply stated which only served to make all eyes fall on me in utter confusion and disbelief.

“No?” Xavier asked while raising an eyebrow.

“Yes I said no, meaning no one is to escort me and no one is to follow me. Are you guys that dense? Can’t you see, you yourself told me that many of our warriors, and mind you they are some of our best, are injured and in the infirmary and why is that because all they did was try to check up on him! Right? (all nodded) So you can imagine when he sees many unmated males escorting his mate to protect her from him! Honestly you tell me what will be his reaction to THAT?” I asked sarcastically while directing my question to all those around me.
