I called David.

"Hey, are you alright?" he asked.

"I know you're in class, but I'm freaking out."

"It's fine, I was able to step away for a moment. What's going on?"

"I'm home alone and I heard my doorbell ring and I tried to ignore it but they wouldn't stop ringing and I realized it's probably Drake and I don't know how he even knows where I live."

"Aright, take a deep breath, are you sure he's gone?"

"Yup, he started walking down the street."

"Okay, just sit tight. I'll come over after school. Are you feeling better by the way?"

"Not really, I think I'll stay home tomorrow too."

"Alright, I'll come and see you soon."

"Bye."

I hung up and sat back down on the couch. I turned on Lifetime movie network to take my mind off of things. There was a movie on about a girl being stalked, oh the irony.

Around 2:30, I heard a knock at the door. I cautiously approached the door before I realized it was just David.

"You had me scared for a minute," I said, "I thought he had come back."

"No babe, it's just me."

He came in and sat down on the couch.

"So, why did he come here?" he asked.

"I have no idea. It was creepy though and he wouldn't leave. He didn't try to break in or anything."

"That's strange. Good thing I live next door, I'll start keeping an eye out in the neighborhood for him."

"Thank you babe," I gave him a tight hug.

I woke up the next morning, still feeling sick. I decided to skip once again.

I went to the couch of my empty house and turned on HGTV. I also made myself a light breakfast.

The doorbell rang. My anxiety instantly consumed my body. I slowly walked towards the door until I could see out the window and I instantly knew it was the same person from yesterday.

I took my phone and dialed 911.

"There is a man by my door, I think he's stalking me, he came by yesterday too and he won't leave," I told the dispatcher.

"We are sending someone right away. Miss, go down into your basement."

I went to my basement and I waited for further instruction.

"Okay miss, looks like the police are right in front of your house and they are now surveying the premises. There is an officer waking up to the door, you are safe to go talk to him."

"Thank you," I said and I hung up.

I opened the door for the police officer.

"So, we didn't find anyone," he said, "do you have any idea who it would be?"

"I have a feeling it's a classmate who's been harassing me for a while."

"Well, it looks like he's gone but if you see him again, just give us a call. We're always nearby in the neighborhood, you're in good hands."

"Thank you, officer."

I felt like an idiot, he must've thought I was making it all up. How could Drake have just come up here and then disappeared? How did he know I called the police? I'm hoping that scared him off though.

An hour later, there was a knock at the door. I ran over and opened it, knowing it would be David. I pulled him in for a hug.

"I had to call the cops this time, it was so scary, they couldn't find any trace of him though," i said.

"That's so weird," he said, "but maybe the cops scared him off and he won't come back here again."

"I hope so."

I went up to my history teacher the next morning, asking if we had any homework.

"None other than studying, our next test is Monday," she said with a smile.

"Thanks," I said and I went back to my seat.

"Hey," said Jane, "how are you feeling?"

"Oh so much better, thanks for sending me snapchats throughout school the past couple of days, I was so bored at home."

She chuckled, "not a problem. So I heard a rumor."

"What is it?" I asked.

"It's about Drake, that creep who keeps harassing you," she said.

I gulped, "what about him?"

"I heard he dropped out a couple days ago. I guess he was failing too many classes and he didn't want to repeat another year so he just dropped out."

"What? How did you know this?" I asked.

"One of my friends used to date him and he still talks to her for some reason and so she told me," she said, "so it looks like you don't have to worry about him, unless he shows up to your house again."

I thought for a minute, "maybe that's why he showed up to my house, because he doesn't get to stalk me at school anymore."

"Who knows why creeps do the creepy things that they do," she said.

"Yeah, you're right. I just hope he'll leave me alone for good."

"I'm sure he will find someone new to stalk," she chuckled.

It was Friday night and instead of going out and hanging out with my friends, I was stuck catching up on homework from my sick days.

"Alina! Come downstairs for a minute!" my mom yelled out.

I groaned but I went down to see what she wanted.

Tiffany and I gave each other confused glances, neither of us knowing what was going on.

"Okay now that I have the whole family gathered here, I have a surprise."

She pulled out an envelope and we both gasped.
