When we got off the plane, we went to border control which took forever. After we were checked, we went to the luggage carousel to pick up our luggage.

After what seemed like forever, we finally got out of the airport and we were immediately greeted by our cousins.

"David, these are my cousins, Daria and Nikola," I said.

"It's nice to meet you," he said, shaking their hands.

We got into the car and immediately started catching up. We had a long drive to my grandparents' house.

"Do they speak English?" David whispered to me.

"They do, but obviously they're better at speaking Polish so that's why we're speaking Polish right now."

"Ah okay."

On our way there, we decided to stop somewhere to get dinner since it was getting late.

After an hour, we finally arrived. The look on my grandma's fave was priceless. She was so happy to see all of us and to finally meet David.

"I've heard so much about you," she said to him in broken English.

"Good things, I hope," he joked.

"Yes yes, of course," she said.

It was already nighttime so my grandparents didn't waste any time with preparing our sleeping arrangements.

My mom had her own room, Tiffany and I shared one, and David got his own as well.

"I thought we'd be able to sleep together," he whispered.

I laughed out loud, "not in this catholic household."

We spent the rest of the week spending time with family and having all of them meet David, a lot of which asked if him and I will get married... thankfully he couldn't understand them anyways. That would be so embarrassing. We also went shopping and fun activities in the snow. Before we knew it, break was almost over and it was time to go back home.

"I had a really good time this week," David said to me.

I smiled, "I'm glad you did, I had a lot of fun too."

We returned home Saturday morning so we still had a full weekend before going back to school.

"So, we have a problem," I said to him. This was the first time I was alone with him all week.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"I'm late."

"What do you mean, you're late?"

"I was supposed to get my period a week ago, I thought I would get it during break but I still haven't gotten it."

"Okay, don't panic, let's go take a test, come on."

We headed out the door when his mom called out his name.

"Well, how was the trip?!"

"Oh it was nice," he said.

"What did you do?"

"We just visited family," I said, "and they all loved David so we had a good time."

"Oh well I'm glad you had fun, show me pictures later tonight!"

"Yeah I will, uh me and Alina are going to go hang out for a bit."

"Oh sure, have fun you two!"

We quickly got into his car and drove to Walmart. I took a couple pregnancy tests and took them to the self check out.

"I can't take these at my house," I said, "what if my parents see?"

"Well, you can't take it at mine either because my parents will see too."

"Well, what do we do?" I asked.

"Lets go to McDonald's," he said.

"For what?" I asked.

"I'm hungry."

We went inside and ordered. We each got a large order of fries.

"Okay, just go to the bathroom and take the tests," he said.

"Right now?"

"When else?"

"Good point, I'll go now."

I went into the women's restroom and went into one of the stalls. I opened up both tests and just peed on the sticks. I closed the cap and waited anxiously.

A few minutes went by and the results showed up.

Both tests were very clearly negative.

I let out a sigh of relief.

I got out of the restroom to tell David the news when I saw a couple of cops putting him in handcuffs. I gasped.
