Unexpected

Number

About halfway through the movie Mia got a text from Christopher.
- Hey Mia, that guy gave me his number. He wanted me to give it to you so he could apologize. Or so he said.
- You mean Mr. "join my fan club"?
- Yup. I said I'd pass it on but not to expect a call.
She laughed.
He knows me so well.
- Hard pass.
- Figured, but I'll pass it along anyway. His name is Henry.
He sent her the number then wished her a good night. She put the phone down and finished the movie. Then texted her sister.
- Good choice. It was good.
- Now will you watch Man of Steel? Same guy that plays Walker plays Superman.
She wasn't going to quit.
- I have some design work I need to be getting to. I'll check it out tomorrow...maybe.
- Fine.
She could practically see Emma rolling her eyes.
- What are you designing now? Anything fun?
- Not my usual. Katie wants me to come up with something beachy for her friend's wedding.
- Didn't realize you did weddings.
- I don't! But Katie, let's just say she insisted.
- Seriously, you need a new job Mia.
- I just need more experience and money to open my own business, so wedding it is.
- Well, good luck. Oh, mom and dad wanted to know when you'd be coming home again.
They always did.
- I'll be home for Thanksgiving. Not sure about the High School reunion though.
- Think on it. Might be fun.
- Will do. TTYL.
She looked at the text from Christopher again deciding to save the number in her phone.
Typing in the number, she laughed as she put in his contact name. English Dick.
