Henry laughed. "There seems to be a debate about that."
"About a mustache?"
Henry shrugged. "I guess my fan base is really involved in what I do. For example, some think I should still be Superman or should play Bond. There's a petition."
Mia shook her head. "Wow. I can't imagine what it would be like to be that involved. No offense."
"None taken. It can be difficult, being scrutinized for everything I do. Even when I'm dating someone, that person gets a lot of unwanted attention."
Mia knew what he meant. "Understandable. Everyone wants a piece of you, or just want you for themselves I suppose. So your love life is fair game."
"Sounds like you know a little about that," Henry mused.
"Just an observation. You know, I need to get going. I have to meet a client so I need to get back home."
"Sure, no problem," Henry said, quickly adding "would you like a ride back?"
"I'm good. I only live a few blocks away," Mia said standing. "Thanks for breakfast. It was actually nice to meet you."
Henry stood as well. "It was nice meeting you as well." He paused. "Would you want to get dinner sometime?"
Mia was taken aback, not expecting he would want to see her again.
"Umm, sure," she rose an eyebrow. "As long as you don't get wasted and..."
"I won't," Henry said. "Promise."
Mia was skeptical but agreed. "Just call or text me sometime."
"I'll do that. Again, I'm sorry for my behavior."
Mia laughed. "No worries. You bought me breakfast. All is forgiven."
"All I need to do to impress you is buy you food?"
"Who said you impressed me? You appeased me. Big difference," she joked.
Henry walked her out of the cafe, Kal following behind.
"Well, I'll just have to try harder then."
Mia shook her head and smiled. "I wish you luck."
Henry loved her sarcasm. He found it endearing.
"Good luck with your client," he said.
"Thanks. Have a good one," she said putting on her sunglasses. She knelt down and ruffled Kal's fur. "Bye buddy."
