"i'm just kidding," a smile returned to reggie's face, "the break up was successful."
"reginald mantle, you brat." betty smacked his arm, "i was worried."
"well, you don't have to be. you are now officially reassured."
"haha, you're hilarious." she let out a sarcastic laugh as reggie cracked up on his bed.
"okay, it wasn't that funny, reggie. calm down."
"it was though. you should've seen your face." he continued to laugh.
their text tones went off simultaneously.
"yeah, whatever." she said as she went to pick it up.
cheryl: hello riverdale high student body. in celebration of choni's 4 month anniversary, i'm hosting a party. all are welcome, especially those who bring booze. see you all on friday night.
"did you get cheryl's text?" betty asked as she looked up from her phone.
"yep." reggie responded.
"i did too." archie said as he walked in the room.
"hey, arch." he walked over, and greeted her with a peck on the lips.
"hi." he smiled at her.
"look at me, i'm betty. i'm in love with archie, and he's in love with me which makes us even more sickening to watch." reggie mocked in a high pitched voice.
betty rolled her eyes at him.
"how's it going, reg?" archie asked as he walked over to greet him.
"it's good, boring as usual."
"so are we going to cheryl's party on friday?" betty asked hopefully.
"whatever you want. i could care less if we go, or if we don't." archie plopped down on the bed next to reggie.
"um, hell yes you two are going," reggie said, "it's your debut as a couple."
"i think reggie's more enthusiastic about our relationship then we are." archie fake whispered.
"i am not. i just think you should go. together of course." he defended.
"well i think it could be fun. cheryl's parties always are." betty smiled.
"then we'll go."

friday had rolled around excruciatingly slow. but it was finally here, and just like usual betty was digging through her closet at the last minutestressed out, because she hadn't picked out an outfit earlier."come on, b. you'll look good in anything." veronica said from her spot on betty's bed.
"but nothing looks right on me." betty whined.
veronica sighed as she got up, and joined betty by the closet.
"what about your cropped white, fuzzy sweater with this jean skirt, and those shoes." veronica pulled the items out.
"how do you do that so fast?" betty asked as she shuffled into the bathroom to change.
"i'm magic." veronica responded.
"it looks amazing, b." veronica added as betty walked out, "now for your hair just leave it down, and curl it."
"maybe you really are magic, because i got ready ten times faster than i normally do." veronica giggled as she walked over to help betty with her hair.
"there, it's perfect. you look beautiful, b."
"you do too, v." betty said as veronica's phone went off.
"the boys are outside. ready to go?"
"definitely." betty said.
"damn." reggie said as the girls walked up to them, "we're two lucky dudes.""yes we are." archie confirmed getting giggles from betty and veronica.
"you look gorgeous." he whispered in betty's ear as he threw his arm around her.
"thank you." she blushed.

they entered cheryl's house, and the atmosphere was instantly filled with booming music, the smell of cheap beer, and teenage lust."cousin betty, veronica," cheryl greeted warmly with toni attached at the hip, "i see you two brought your dogs along."
"yeah, we just got sad when they started whining after we left. we had to go back and get them." veronica laughed.
"i mean, who can resist this face." archie gestures to himself.
"lots of people." betty said as she patted his cheek.
"dude, you just got knocked down a peg by your girlfriend." reggie smacked his back.
"well, drinks are in the kitchen, and dancing is in the living room. just promise you'll all make sure, betty lets loose." cheryl joked.
"hey! i can let loose if i want to." betty defended.
"betty, i love you, but sometimes you can be a little uptight." archie said, getting a glare from betty in response.
"well that's nothing a little alcohol can't fix. come on, b." veronica said as she grabbed betty's hand, and pulled her into the kitchen.
"drink." veronica said as she placed a half full bottle of vodka in front of betty.
betty scrunched her face as she took a swig of the liquid. it burned the back of her throat, and made her stomach hurt, but it was freeing. she pushed out of 'the girl next door' box when she did things like this, and she liked it. so she took another sip.
it didn't take long for the alcohol to work it's magic. soon betty an archie were dancing along to the loud music in the crowd of teenagers.
"are you having fun?" archie yelled over the pop song.
"yes! who knew that letting go of everything could be so fun." she grabbed his hand, and pressed her back to his chest. he laughed in her ear as they swayed to the song.
hard banging on the door tore everyone's attention from the music.
"riverdale sheriff's department, open up." eyes widened, and people shuffled away from the door.
"hello, officer." cheryl said as she threw the door open, a nervous smile on her face.
"look we've been getting noise complaints all night. i don't care if you're drinking just keep it down, or i'm coming back, and busting all of your asses."
"you got it, sir." cheryl sighed in relief when the officer walked back down her front steps, and pulled away.
"okay, music's done. so leave if you want." countless groans sounded out throughout the crowd, and some people shuffled out.
"for those of you who stayed, i propose we play a little game." a devious smile played across her red lips.
"what were you thinking, babe?" toni moved to the front of the crowd, and hooked her arm around cheryl.
"truth, or dare."
