14- Vulture

"I'm so tired." I said hitting my head on the desk. "Barry, we've been at this for three days straight. We need to rest."

Barry looked at the four of us in the room sympathetically and nodded. "You're right. When it happens we'll be ready. There's no point in exhausting ourselves."

Nora was already passed out next to me and Cisco was struggling to keep his head up and eyes open.

My phone buzzed.

"No." I pleaded. "Please don't be Singh."

Barry pulled out his phone. "It's Singh. He wants you and me at the latest crime scene."

I looked over at Nora. Ummm, I grabbed a sticky note and wrote. 'Went to crime scene, be back soon." And stuck it to her forehead.

"You could've just texted her." Barry said as we headed out of the cortex.

I nodded. "Yeah but that's going to be more funny when she wakes up."

"Good point." Barry said as he grabbed me and we were off through the city in a Flash.

"You're never going to believe what happened." Singh said to us as crossed under the yellow police tape.

Joe was still on personal leave after learning about Daniel so he was absent from the scene.

"How many dead?" I asked.

"Two, a mother and a son." Singh said to us.

"Cause of death?" Barry asked.

"Extreme impact, dropped from a higher height than Central City's tallest building." Singh sighed "Witness says she saw the three of them walking together and green wings suddenly sprung from the mans shoulder blades and he launched into the sky with them."

"So it was the father that did it?" Barry said sending me a glance.

Singh nodded and handed me a file. 'Adrian Toomes.' He was bald and his file stated that he had lung cancer due to the particles he has been exposed to while working.

"When the police encountered him he said he didn't want to do this but some man promised him a suit that would keep his cancer from killing him, if he killed his family." Singh said.

"That's disgusting. Sounds exactly like a villain." I said to Barry as we walked away from the crime scene.

As soon as we were out of view Barry ran us back to S.T.A.R Labs. I was quick to print out a picture and place it on the board.

Cisco was awake for two minutes before he gave the man the alias 'The Vulture.'

Shortly there after the Vulture turned himself in to the Central City precinct and was hauled off to iron heights continuously apologizing for what he had done.

"It doesn't make sense." Barry said with his hand in his face.

"It's like they want to be caught." I said nodding my hands.

"Why would they want to be caught if they're planning on taking over the city?" Iris questioned. "You're right. It doesn't make sense."

"We got a bank robbery on Main Street." Iris said.
