The Umbrella Academy

12.32 am

Slow heavy footsteps trudged down the stairs of the hargreeves home, waking Eliora from her peaceful slumber. With a soft yawn, she rubbed her eyes, lifting her head from her pillow. Realization dawned across her delicate features and she giggled to herself, sliding down her bed. She ran over to her wardrobe, she began tugging at her grey coat, eventually yanking it off it's hanger. She dropped it to the floor with a thud, running over to her dresser and grabbing her grey bobble hat before she slid to the floor, sliding on one of her brown boots. At the sound of the heavy footsteps fading further away, she jumped up slipping one arm into her coat, grabbing her other boot and hat before half tip-toeing half running out of her room towards the stairs. Eliora reached the top of the stairs, a huge grin arising onto her little face at the sight of her favorite sibling.

"Pssssstt ... Fwiveee!"

Eliora huffed in annoyance as Five continued to walk towards the door. She tip-toed down the stairs, a frown replacing her features as she hurried to catch up.

"Heyyy! wait for me!"

Five stopped abruptly  in his steps, sighing under his breath as he turned to face his little sister. He couldn't suppress his chuckle at the sight of Eliora. Her tiny legs hopped down each step slowly, her arms grasping onto the railing  whilst half of her coat dragged across the stairs behind her. One boot in her grasp whilst the other she wore, her hat balanced on her head.  Shaking his head with a smile, he walked back towards her, lifting her from the step and placing her at the bottom.

"Fwiveeee i can get down on my own!", she exclaimed with a frown, a small pout appearing on her face as she looked up at five. He knelt down to her level, adjusting her hat to sit perfectly on her head.

"Eliora, what are you doing up?"

"I'm coming with you on your late night adventure.", she responded casually, sitting down to slip on the other boot.

"How did you..."

"Every night you always disappear when we all sleeping Fwive, but i wanna come this time." Five watched her intently as she struggled to lift her arm into the sleeve of the coat. He gently pushed her arm through the sleeve. She smiled up at him before skipping towards the door, turning back to see him following right behind her.

The cold air blew harshly against Eliora's face, her little arms reached up to brush her hair out of her eyes.

"Hold on Eliora." Eliora looked down to see Five looking up at her already, concern in his eyes for the young girl's safety. Eliora tilted her head to the side, a giggle erupting from her chest as she viewed Five from an odd angle.

"Hold my hwans?" she asked, her hands reaching down

"Hold my hwans?" she asked, her hands reaching down. Five smiled as he reached up and held her hands gently, turning to face the direction of their destination. Eliora looked around in curiosity at the emptiness of the streets, watching the wind drag the leaves across the pavement. Facing the empty pavement in front of her, she squeezed Five's hands gaining his attention once again.

"Where is everybody ?"

"Everybody's asleep, just like you should be-"

"But i w-wanted to be with you and you never sleep and i always hear you at night Fwive."

Five chuckled under his breath as he crossed the road.

"And why's that my dear?"

Eliora placed her hands on the side of Five's face, one on his cheek and the other on his jaw, gently turning his head to face hers.

"You are my fwavorite Fwive." she learnt down and placed a little kiss to his lips. Five stopped walking as reached up and brought her down into his arms. She instantly pressed her face into his neck and he hugged her closer, pressing a gentle kiss to her cheek.

"I love you my little Eliora."

1.14 am

Five sat perched on one of the bar stools, facing the counter-top of Griddy's doughnuts. Eliora heaved and pushed as she struggled to lift herself onto the stool beside Five, who watched with a smirk on his face.

"No Fwive i can do it myself!"

When Eliora finally climbed the stool, she turned to face Five with a cheeky smile. He laughed at her expression before ordering himself a black coffee and a chocolate milk for Eliora.

*Slurps*

"Why do you come here at night time Fwive?"

"It's a nice place to come to clear my head and think i guess."

*Slurps*  "What do you think about?"

Five turns to look at Eliora who is already facing Five, curiosity emitting from her big eyes.

"Mostly how my day has been, training, Dad..." Five answered honestly.

"Well..." Eliora pauses to take a sip of her milk, "When i need clean my head and think about... days... i have tea parties!"

Five laughed lightly, shaking his head as he finished the last drop off his coffee.
"Dellyrus always joins me!"
"You mean Deloris?", Five chuckled, beaming at his sister.
"That is what I said!", Eliora pouted, turning to finish off the last of milk.

"Well I guess I could join you next time, then we can both get some sleep at night."

Five left some change on the counter before picking Eliora up and holding her in his arms. They began there journey back home, Eliora peacefully sleeping  on Five's shoulder whilst he smiled down at her, looking forward to the tea party they were sure to have...

Author's Note:

I honestly am so sorry for not updating in such a long time, I have no excuse expect for the fact I've been busy and just lost track of time. I thought I'd make it up to you with an Eliora x U.A oneshot considering they seem the most popular aha. I'm now in my first year of sixth form so I'm getting used to the amount of workload we get and I'm now working a part-time job but I'm gonna try my hardest to keep this book going - I forgot how much I enjoy writing :)
