When Renjun woke up the next morning, Donghyuck was watching over him, as he normally did in the morning. Renjun was relieved, to say the least.

"Donghyuck, where were you last night? I was worried."

"Just somewhere."

Renjun pouted. "Come on, tell me, I was worried."

"No."

"Duckie, come on."

"It's private, okay? You have your secrets and I have mine. Leave it alone. Don't you have to go to school or something anyway?"

"Right!" Renjun rushed out of bed, running to change and brush his teeth, eager to impress a certain someone.

"I think I'm going to stay home today." Donghyuck said as Renjun was packing his bag.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah."

Renjun shrugged. "It's your life- fuck."

Donghyuck let out a small laugh at the older's mistake.

"Ah, I'm sorry, it slipped."

"It's okay. Go now, you're going to be late."

"Thanks, Duckie!"

As Renjun ran out the door, Donghyuck sighed. He felt kinda bad about what he was doing, but knowing that there was literally nothing on the other side of life kept him going. Because no matter what it took, Donghyuck had to stay with Renjun.
