Veronica.

Jack's arms were wrapped firmly around my waist as my head was resting on his chest. sunlight shone into the tent and light snores were being emitted from the people sleeping around me.

It must have been early since everyone was still sleeping. I tried my best to turn without distracting Jack's sleep, I grabbed my phone and turned it on.

A message was displayed across the screen.

unknown number:
Maybe I'm just not good enough.

I ignored the message and switched my phone off before laying my head back on Jack's chest. Realisation kicked in...

He told me he liked me. I unconsciously smiled thinking about what he said.

"What are you smiling at?" I heard Jack  ask, I looked up at him to see him smiling down at me.

"Good morning. I'm just thinking about something I got told yesterday," I told him as the heat rose to my cheeks.

"Was it something good?" he asked and I nodded back.

A sudden gush of shyness kicked in and I started playing with my fingers. I always did that when I was nervous.

He ran his hand through my hair softly and tucked some hair behind my ear. I looked at the corner where Shawn was situated the night before; he wasn't there.

"Where's Shawn?" I asked Jack, sitting up and running a hand through my hair.

"Probably inside, he normally gets up very early," he said sitting up too.

I tapped his shoulder lightly and pointed towards Johnson and Alessia. They were in spooning position sleeping away.

Jack chuckled silently, "Looks like love is  in the air."

"Well I'll make sure to not breathe," he cackled at my comment.

I chuckled and shook my head. I got up and extended a hand to Jack, he took it and we left  the tent quietly. My feet came in contact with the cold grass and I squealed making Jack laugh.

He picked me up and put me over his shoulder. Giggles erupted from my mouth as he carried me inside, when we got inside I spotted Shawn sitting in the kitchen. Jack put me down and I skipped towards Shawn.

"Morning. What are you doing?" I asked Shawn, my arms wrapped around his shoulders as I looked down at his phone.

"Morning Spark, I'm looking for some nearby gyms," he informed me.

"Oh, how come?"

"I need to work on a few things," he shrugged.

Johnson and Alessia walked inside hand in hand but I didn't question it.
