Snow trickled from the hazed sky, ever so delicately falling onto the Earth's floor. White crystals frantically stuck to both Karma's and Nagisa's hair. The scene was perfect.

Gloved hands clung onto eachother, seeking to find any hint of warmth through the cloth surrounding their skin.

"It's cold." Nagisa mumbled, as he continued to walk hand in hand with Karma. His hair was down, which was a hair occasion, but he wasn't minding it at the moment. The only thing he was focusing on was the cold tugging at his exposed skin.

Both of the men had a tint of red spread across their cheeks and the tips of their noses.

Karma smiled, looking down at his boyfriend for a quick moment, until his eyes darted forward again.

"I know, we're almost there though." Karma squeezed Nagisa's hand, smiling again when Nagisa did the same in response.

After the boy went silent, the only noise hanging in the air was the sound of snow being crushed under shoes. It was a familiar sound, reminding both boys of their childhood, though that was a point that remained unspoken.

"Here." Karma suddenly said spinning Nagisa around as the two men came to a sudden stop. Nagisa looked around, awing at the sight before him.

Christmas lights hung from various trees in the park, illuminating the snow on the ground, and giving light to the flurries making their way to earth.

"It's beautiful." Nagisa said, his cold cheeks creasing slightly as he smiled. Although the scene wasn't what most would consider beautiful, for him it was a stunning sight.

It reminded him of the good memories he had with his parents, back before they separated. Listening to Christmas tunes whilst they decorated their tree and snacked on home baked cookies. It was a memory he held dear to his heart, and one he would refuse to let go.

"I used to come here with my aunt during the holidays. When my parents were out of town for work." Karma took a quick glance at his partner, before fixing his gaze upon the lights scattered around the trees.

He had planned bringing Nagisa here sooner, but decided against it. He wanted to wait until the perfect moment to do so. And since the lights only came around once a year, it had to be now. Or else he would have to wait yet another year to finally do what felt right.

Karma turned slightly, scooping one of Nagisa's hands into his own. Nagisa turned aswell, to face his significant other.

The way the lights danced across Nagisa's face made Karma's heart race. It was a beautiful sight.

"Oh god." Karma started, kneeling down as Nagisa's eyes followed him. "I really wasn't expecting to be this nervous." The blue haired boy seemed frozen in place, surely this was just another one of Karma's pranks, right?

"Nagisa. Ever since I met you, I wanted nothing more than to remain by your side. I wanted to keep you safe, to be someone that you could trust. These past few years have sculpted me into someone I never thought I could be. I don't know how I got this lucky, or why on earth you chose me out of everyone..." Nagisa's mouth hung slightly open, his blue eyes slowly filling with tears as he took in Karma's words. "... but it would mean the world to me if you continued to be by my side. To stay right next to me. I love you more than anything else in the entire world, Nagisa."

Karma could feel his breathing pattern falter, as he reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small box. As he opened it, a silver band sat inside, reflecting the colors that danced around them.

"Would you please marry me?"

And in that moment, it was just the two of them. Surrounded by a never ending love, a memory neither would forget, being formed under a thousand lights.
