Saturday, Kimani's House, 9am

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" My mum yelled holding onto the screach, I'm not calling whatever it is my mum is doing right now a note, absolutely not. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOOOOOOOO ... YOUUUUUUUUUUUU!" She said doing jazz hands, she then walked towards my bed and engulfed me into a a big ass hug, lowkey suffocating me whilst she was doing it by the way, but I didn't mind, her warm embrace followed with the sweet smell of perfume which just seemed to always follow her. 

Once she released me, and I could finally breathe again, I thanked her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you mummy, this means a lot." I said with a thankful smile plastered across my face. 

"Anything for you." She said now getting up from my bed. "I made a birthday breakfast for you, it's downstairs." She said closing the door behind her, although she had left the room the sweet smell of her perfume lingered in the room. I loved my mum, she was literally my rock, she always knew how to make each birthday special, how to make me feel special, I honestly hope that the rest of the day goes well. I stretched in my bed and fell back before turning to find my fully charged phone on my bedside table. I had several messages from my friends on social media. 

Tristian: Happy Birthday big head, stay blessed and make sure you glue your wig down cuz I heard that bare girls headtops get exposed wen they dance init, but stay blessed forreal tho and thank you for being apart of my life, you're a real g. More life to you. 🙏🏾❤️

Maliki: Happy Birthday Cuzzo, stay blessed and enjoy your day, make sure no boys try to chat to you cause I WILL spark a mans jaw, sorry I can't be there got exams. Love You, More Life and More Blessings 🙏🏾❤️💉

Marissa: Happy Birthday Mani, I love you and I'm so proud of the girl you've become, I still remember when you peed yourself at my house and started crying and peeing even more, I promise you I'll never forget that 💀Make sure you don't pee yourself today because you actually cannot come and embarrass the family name like that, nah but forreal I love you 💕✨

I rolled my eyes as I read my cousin's messages, they both just wanted to embarrass me today init, Marissa better keep that to herself, we were literally 4 when that happened, it's not THAT funny .. like it's really not funny.

Although I've only known some of these guys for a couple of months now they have been such a big part of my life, not to mention they are funny, like what does Kofi do? Crack? Is that what he smokes? Such a funny yute but I know he's just being himself and that's all I can really ask for to be honest.
