"Is it okay if we walk? I don't have a car yet and the convenient store isn't that far," Mina said.

That must have been the longest sentence I ever heard her say.  Granted I haven't known her that long.

"Sure!" I said again.

We continued our walk when I decided to break the silence.

"How old are you?" I couldn't help but ask.

She turned to me looking a bit surprised. It was probably because I blurted it out suddenly.

"Oh I'm twenty two, what about you?" she said, probably deciding to keep the conversation flowing.

"I'm eighteen, favourite food?" I asked back.

"Ice cream cake." She replied.

"That's not a food, it's a dessert," I said.

"The way I eat it, it's a food." She said smiling.

"what does that even mean?" I couldn't help but ask.

"I don't know." she said. Then suddenly we both broke into laughter.

"I don't even know why I'm laughing," I said with tears in my eyes.

"Me neither!" she said trying to control her laughter.

"Wait... Is it me either or me neither," she asked suddenly.

"I don't know," I said again. Then we started laughing. For what reason, I don't know. But it felt like we would become good friends.

We finally reached our destination. The convenient store. I was honestly expecting a small place, but this town just kept on surprising me.

The building in front of us didn't just look like a convenient store.  It looked like a freaking mall.

Sure, it wasn't Walmart worthy, but it was big enough with glass sliding doors and a sign that read 'convenience store'

Seriously, who was the genius that had that amazing idea...

We walked inside. Although outside was a bit dark and stormy which is what I learnt the weather usually was, the store was a bit brighter which gave it a nice feeling.

The store was practically empty apart from a cashier sitting at one of the cash registers, an old lady and well, us.

We went to the home aisle where we searched for some curtains.
Mina was already going crazy with curtain talk.

"This one is nice because it will fit with the colour of your room," she said holding a plain light brown curtain.

"But this one might just tie the room together and add some character to it," she did holding up a light red one.

"And I also have some bed sheets that would go great with this one," she said pointing to a blue one.

Ugh this would take forever.

"Why don't you keep on looking, I'll be right back," I told her trying to escape the curtain madness. She nodded as she kept on deliberating amongst herself.

I decided to check out the makeup section to see if I could find any mirrors and of course get new makeup.

As I was going, I bumped into a wall. Looking up to be sure it was a wall and not a person. Since apparently that happens, I was greeted with a white wall. Nope, not a person.

"You should be careful where you are going," A deep voice said behind me.
