I some how managed to lift my arm so I could check the time on my watch. It was two am and I was smothered by him on the sofa.

I debated on whether or not I should move but Taehyung was seriously crushing me.

Tilting slightly off the sofa didn't work because he just hugged me tighter.

I released a sigh and ran my hand through his soft indigo hair. My fingertips to his scalp must have instantly alerted him because he lifted up. His sleepy gaze attempted a focus to mine.

"Do you want to go to bed? We would be more comfortable there." I asked.

"I am comfortable here." The sleep laced in his voice made him sound even sexier. I was instantly aroused.

"Y-You sure?" I had to whisper as I tried to breathe from the compression of his body onto mine.

"Yes. Am I making you uncomfortable?" He asked as he rubbed his eyes.

"You're not." I answered.

"I am. My words are. They did last week." His eyes wandered. I could see they were easily getting lost in wondering what I could be thinking.

There was also a hint of fear there.

"Taehyung, it's two in the morning. Do you want to talk about this now?"

He responded in Korean because he knew I would understand.

I sighed.

His gaze bore heavily into mine. My stare was making my eyes weld but I couldn't tear them away.

"Did something change?" His voice heavy.

Did something change? We're still in this same arrangement except now I feel like I'm about to go under contract.

"Nothing has changed. You're still here." I replied.

"Are you?" He was quick to ask.

"Yes." Goosebumps instantly appeared upon my response.

His eyes were now wandering my face in its entirety, studying every line and crease as he was deep in thought. I wanted so much to ask him what he was thinking.

I suddenly felt him against me. There was obviously something on his mind beyond my response but I wasn't sure if I was up for that tonight.

"I need to move. Bathroom." I whispered to him and smiled.

However his expressions did not change as he lifted away from me.

His silence frightens me more than anything.

I got up from the couch and made my way to the bathroom as quick as I could. Closing the door softly, I leaned against it and took a deep breath in effort to calm my racing heart before tending to my real reason for being there.

After I was done, I walked out into my bedroom finding him standing next to my bed. The light from my corner lamp burned, drawing my focus to the absence of his shirt and shoes.

The pace of my heart increased again.

He extended his hand to me. I received it as he pulled me closer.

"Are you running from me?" He asked, entwining his fingers with mine.

This was very different. Things are changing.

"No. Are you running from me?" I smirked with tease.

His expression remained serious. "No. I'm running to you but...I can't seem to catch you."

I guess my insecurities are speaking volumes.

"Am I not here with you now?" I was trying to say whatever I could to get him away from his mindset. I'm not ready to talk about it.

"Shae..."

"Can we go to bed now? You have to be up early. Sleep should be more important." I interrupted his his response and watched him when he held his head down in defeat and sighed. I never challenged him but I found myself doing it more often.

"You are important." He lifted up and spoke as he squeezed my fingers tightly and moved in closer.

I gulped as saw his lips inching toward mine.

"You need to know that I will be gone next week. I won't be back for a few days." His voice deep and low.

"I understand." My tone mimicked his.

"This is...harder now." He continued.

"Why is it harder?"

"Because you know why I'm not here and I'm worried."

I watched him yank his lip and held it down with his teeth fast as he uttered his last statement as if he regretted letting his concern slip through.

He was in need of something and I'm not quite sure of what it may be now knowing his secret.

Releasing our fingers, my hands went to his face and I took it upon myself and reached up to his lips, pressing them to mine.

I never make the first move. I always allowed him to call the shots but my boldness lately has stemmed from avoidance.

His hands went around my waist, gripping me as he fell effortlessly back onto the bed. I let out a small whimper before breaking away.

Remaining on top of him, I pulled my shirt over me and tossed it to the side. My arousal surfaced again from the touch of his skin to mine.

Our gazes met. His lips were once again held hostage of his teeth as his hands traveled up my back.

He rolled me over, taking his place on top of me, his body heavy against mine as his slender hands were pressed down and paralleled to my head.

His features, a tone set of seriousness washed throughout as he pinned me down.

I couldn't help but wonder if he could feel the vibration of my heart beating against my chest.

"Am I hurting you?" He asked without a shift in his stare.

I shook my head. "No."

Taehyung spoke Korean. My eyes blinked slowly as I translated his words. He lifted a brow, waiting for my response.

I thought long and hard of what he said. I replied the best I could in his language before exhaling.

Things were definitely changing with us and my thoughts were eating me alive with fear.

A tiny smirk caressed his lips. "Sleep...hmm...it may take some time."
