Namjoon leaned Jangmi's sleeping head against his own shoulder, smiling softly at the angel clip in her hair. He knew she would be tired out on their way back home, so he grabbed his suit jacket and put it on her as a blanket. After dinner, it gotten too cold to get back into the water and too late to stay out anymore. It's past her bedtime, Taehyung and Namjoon knew when Taehyung had to carry her into the car. Bennie was driving once more, a little energy left in his body.
"... That hair clip," Taehyung says, yawning quietly, "It's from you, right?"
"Yeah, it is," Namjoon hums, holding Jangmi's hand as she slumbers. "For her birthday."
"How'd you get it?" Taehyung asked, "... I've never seen something like that before not in any jewelry stores I've been in before. That's solid gold."
"... I never bought it," Namjoon says, "... It was my grandmother's, I could never afford something like that."
Namjoon looked at Jangmi with a small tired sigh and a gentle crinkle in his eyes. "... I gave it for her birthday, I just wanted her to be happy," he moves slightly, so he can rest his head on hers. "She deserves the world, you and I both know that..."
"You didn't have to do that, Namjoon," Taehyung murmured softly. Looking over at the two beside him in the backseat.
Jangmi sleepily hugs Namjoon's arm, her seatbelt keeping her away from fully cuddling with the man.
"My grandmother told me she got it from my grandfather before he passed away," Namjoon yawns, "... She told my sister and I that he was a fisherman when they were young, she was studying in college, but they somehow fell in love."
"... Grandmother told me he saved all his money ever since they first met," he continues, "To buy her that when they got married, and when they did: he bought it. She smacked him over the head and said 'love has no price!'"
"She always wore it though," Taehyung listens to Namjoon's calming voice began to die down, "... She always looked pretty with it on, and she... She was a wonderful woman, you wouldn't believe it."
"... I kept it till I found a reason to give it away," Namjoon's eyes droop tiredly, "... And I did... Jangmi's the reason."
"... Why?"
Namjoon yawns one last time. "... I want her to grow beautifully within as she grows up. She'll grow up learning by your steps, Taehyung. Don't let her wither like the others. I want her to be strong, but also let her be aware she has shoulders to cry on. In a world full of venom, she can be a remedy..."
Taehyung let Namjoon drift off to sleep with his little beside him.
"... We're almost home, boss," Bennie spoke up in the sudden silence.
"... Yeah, thank you, Bennie," Taehyung nods before slouching his shoulders on the seat with exhaustion. Looking out the window to watch the moon follow them through the streets.
He tried to drift off to sleep along with the others, but the buzzing of his phone snaps him awake. He sighs softly, sitting up and holding his phone up to see the contact: 'Jimin'.
"... Hello?"
"Taehyung, Taehyung," Jimin's voice was frantic over the phone. "Where are you right now?"
Taehyung sighed, rubbing his eyes.
"I'm on my way home with Jangmi, why? Is there an issue-"
"No, No!" Jimin screeched. "Don't come home. Stop the car, I'm coming over."
Taehyung pinched the bridge of his nose before taking a deep breath. "... We're almost home, Jimin. It shouldn't be that urgent."
