Maisie POV
so here I am with Tony and Bruce in a lab getting checked up on
"It's probably just bruised" I said as Bruce examined my wrist
"Just to be sure I'm gonna do a X-ray" Bruce said
I raise an eyebrow
"Is that necessary, its probably nothing." I said
"yes it's just to be safe" Tony said
I let out a frustrated groan
they both chuckled
"Fine, If it makes you feel better." I said
Tony nodded
"This way" Bruce said
I followed him
he took pictures of my wrist
after that I'm sitting on a bed in the lab swinging my feet back and forth playing with my necklace
Bruce and Tony walk back in
"It looks like you have a distal radial fracture." Bruce said
"Bruce she's a kid in english." Tony said
"no need I fractured my wrist here and here" I said showing them
they looked at me like I had three heads
I blushed
"Anyway what do I do for it?" I asked
"we splint it and put it in a sling." Bruce said
"No thanks" I said jumping off the bed about to walk out
but them I'm lifted from behind
"H-hey put me down!" I said squirming
"Relax Maisie It's not so bad" Tony said
"Its not that bad." Tony said
"easy for you to say" I mumbled
they both chuckled, Tony sat me back down on the bed then bruce put the splint, on then wrapped it, then put it in a sling.
"there all done." Bruce said
"Thanks" I mumbled
"Now Maisie I need to talk to you about something very important okay?" Tony said
i nodded
"Come I know the perfect place we can talk." He said
I nodded following him we arrived on the roof
"wow this is amazing" I said looking out at the city that was now dark and full of lights
"beautiful isn't it"Tony said
"this is my favorite spot to come when i need to think" He said
"very beautiful" I said with a smile
"Now tin- I mean Maisie you're mother's name was Emma Grey right?" Tony asked
I nodded
"how did you-" I asked
"because I knew her me and her were together at one point." He said looking at me with serious eyes
"I knew you looked familiar" I said dropping my backpack one the ground digging in it and found the picture of Tony and my mom
"She gave this to me before she died" I said handing him the picture
it was my mom and Tony on a deck of a boat at a table smiling at each other and raising their glasses of wine
Tony looked at it with sad eyes
"I didn't know about you Maisie because if I had I would have been in your life much sooner than now" He said
"I know, mom always said she didn't want to trap you because of me, you were just starting your dream and didn't want to ruin it." I said looking up at him
he got down to my level
"Having you would have not trapped me or ruined my dream I only wish I could have told her that Is that why you never seeked me out?" He asked
I nodded
"Listen to me Maisie don't ever think like that you are so much more than you make yourself out to be don't ever think for a second that I would be better off without you do you understand me?" He said
at this point I could feel tears forming in my eyes I nodded
"come here" He said smiling at me with his arms open wide
I walked up to him hugging him like I've wanted to for so long, for so long I've wanted to know my real dad, to know the kind of person he was, what he was like, if he ever wanted me and now i know and the feeling was beyond great not only did I find my dad but he wants me to be around. and I wouldn't trade this feeling for the world.
