Iron man Daddy's little genius

Ch. 36 "Upset"

                                                               Maisie POV

By the time I left the cemetery the sun was going down, 

I imagine my daddy isn't happy with me and is probably looking for me so I need to be extra carful that they don't catch me outside the building, I thought 

Right now I'm across the street from the tower my back pressed up against the wall of an alley, 

"Okay we run on three, One....Two....three," I said then ran as fast as my little legs could carry me, 

Just as i got past the entrance I'm picked up by the back of the shirt, 

My hands were fists as I swung my arms, 

"Hey, you put me down! Or I'll well I'm not sure what I'll do but I'll think of something!" I said swinging my arms, 

"You sure are Tony's kid," I heard Steve said 

"Come on put me down!" I said swinging my arms, 

"Not after the stunt you pulled,"Steve said 

He put his fingers to his ear, 

"Guys I've got the escapee," He said 

We got in the elevator, I just gave up swinging and just hung there, 

the Elevator Dinged, 

I see everyone standing there not looking so happy, 

Steve sat me on the couch, 

"Maisie what were you thinking?" Daddy said 

"I don't know what you mean?" I said playing innocent 

"Oh you know darn well what I'm talking about," He said 

"Hacking the system making Friday call a false alarm emergency, then locking us in this room for ten minutes," Daddy said 

"Where did you go?" Bucky asked 

"Somewhere I promised I would be," I said 

"Who were you with!" daddy said 

"I promised her," I said I felt tears forming in my eyes, 

"Who?!" daddy said 

"My mom!" I said 

Everyone went silent, 

"I promised her that I could save her that we would be together all the time, But I couldn't save her!" I said 

The tears falling down my face, 

"She was dying and I couldn't do anything!" I said 

I ran past Bucky and Steve and ran up the stairs past Pepper, 

"Maisie?" She said 

I ran into my room slamming the door, 

"Friday don't let anyone in," I said 

"Of course, mama," She said 

I buried my face in the pillow in my bed and continued to cry, 

                                 Tony POV

She runs past Steve and Bucky at full speed, 

I try to catch her but she's too fast, 

"Maisie?" Pepper said then I hear her bedroom door slam, 

"What happened?" Pepper asked, 

I explained everything to her, 

"Tony have you even asked what happened to her mother?" Pepper asked 

Then it hit me I never did, 

"No," I said 

"I suggest you handled this with extreme care and sensitivity," She said 

"I will," I said 

I got to Maisie's door, about to knock but I just froze what do I say I thought 

This parenting thing is a lot harder than I thought
