The Little One

I let her rest
With her face down
On my chest
Right where the heart is
Right where love is

As her eyes close
As she fell into a deep slumber
I felt something radiating
Radiating, deep from within
A kind of light
Calm and serene
The light wrapped around her a tiny physique
Like a thick, warm, cozy blanket
Who knew,
You could feel a mother's love
Without actually being one

P.s. It's been quite some time since I updated. But alhamdulillah today I got the chance to. So this poem is dedicated to my little cousin who turned 1 last week☀☀❄❄. I love the little one like my own sibling. I wish she would grow into a strong independent woman one day 😀😀😀
