I wonder if God
has a chamber of hearts
Some glass
Some steel
I wonder if they stay broken
Or do they fully heal?
Is there still a scar
Hiding in the shadows
Because if something's broken
Can it really heal?
If your heart of gold was tarnished,
Can it be recleaned?
If your glass heart was
broken a dozen times
Is it beyond replacement?
Is it just taped together,
"Like new"
Or does God give a new heart, stronger, better and true?
Can I love?
