Wolves
Stare me down
Conquer me
Until I fadeThey're lonely creatures.
Do they have a soul?
They seem fearless
But they give trust, no.They're always expecting someone to betray, something to happen, to worsen their day
They travel in packs
SometimesBut they themselves are all they need
Those wolves won't be there
when the lone wolf bleeds.
They'll scamper away
Survival instincts. If I were to be an animal.
I'd be a wolf.
I want to survive on my own
Being with others is an added pleasure, when I'm feeling weakIf I need someone to lean on
I would lean on me
I don't think it's a bad thing
Myself is all I needWolves are mysterious
God knows what their planning
You can't predict anythingThey work on extremes
Impulsive
Kill or leave
Die or liveI wish my decisions were
as simple as this
They're beautiful, trying to liveThe danger, the climate,
the food, survival.
It all seems quite simple
Day and night
Sun and rainDistinguish between to fear or flight
They only come out at night
They're free to roam.
No one looking on.I'm like a wolf sometimes
Just getting by to survive.
But love, I'd love to find
Me and another wolf,
journeying to stay alive-I'm not a furry lmao.
