His love was a drug to me and lately, I had been having withdraws.
Craving him not only at two a.m when I'm all alone, but also at 2 p.m when I'm all over the place, and the whole world is busy!
The shakes begin when his name pops up on my phone. No longer "baby" Just his name.
My mind starts spinning with memories.
"You're gonna leave me."
"I won't, I promise."
Lies.
You were over me before the sun reached the sky that next morning.
The sun shines bright today, but my mind is darker than it ever has been.
Addicts know drugs are bad for them, yet they continue to do them, the same way that I continue to run back to you.
The moral of the story is, people continue to run back to them, even if it is what broke them.
