For underneath there is a little girl who fears that one day her doubts will be exposed.
As you slip off my pants you will see her scars and feel her hesitancy for you to get any closer.
As I beg you to come closer her sad, lonely mind will wonder if every touch is another misgiving.
As we breathlessly say "I love you" my heart will fill with joy, while hers will fill with uncertainty.
It isn't the way I imagined things, or intended for things to be but if you are going to love me, you have to love her as well.
