A moment of silence fills the air as the audience shuffles into the party area. It was decorated brightly with lots and lots of lesbian-colored decorations, and the large image above was plastered to the wall. Each member of the audience had a small invitation.
It read: LESBIAN PRIDE DAY, JUNE 2ND. BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!
Everyone settles down. Well not really, they struggled in doing so, and instead many just stood, watching the stage curiously. And then Gaystripe prances out.
Gaystripe: Hello everyone, and welcome to Day Two of 30 Days of Pride!
The crowd cheers.
Gaystripe: Today is Lesbian Pride day!
A loud cheer comes from the middle of the crowd, and several cats leap up and down. Gaystripe grins and then waves at some cat offstage. A bright pink light suddenly is placed on him, and he prances out further. However, clumsily, he falls.
Gaystripe: OW!! Someone help me!!
Rainbowstar: Never fear, Rainbowstar is here!
A rainbow-furred cat suddenly flew into the area.
Gaystripe: No, wait, Rainbowstar isn't supposed to be here yet!
Rainbowstar: I am here! *she places her paws on her hips and helps Gaystripe out of where he had fallen, grinning* What do you need? And where are Lesbianfin and Pollyholly? I need to ship them!
Gaystripe: Well hello everyone! This is Rainbowstar, and she's taken a trip all the way from QueerClan to come to visit us here. Say hello, everyone!
Audience: HI RAINBOWSTAR!!
Gaystripe: Anyways, Rainbowstar, would you like to explain what being a lesbian is?
Rainbowstar: Well, I'm gonna need at LEAST Lesbianfin first.
Gaystripe: Demanding... Someone go get Lesbianfin!
A cat of a black-and-gray pelt quickly disappears. This cat soon enough returns, dragging along a white and ginger she-cat.
Rainbowstar: Lesbianfin!! Where's Pollyholly?
Lesbianfin: *hopping onstage* Asleep. Anyways, what did you guys need again?
Gaystripe: Everyone, this is Lesbianfin. She's also from QueerClan. Say hello!
Audience: HI LESBIANFIN!!
Gaystripe: Okay guys, now you've gotta explain what being a lesbian is. We thought it would be fun to have cats who actually are lesbian explain what it is!
Rainbowstar: Cool! A lesbian is someone who is a female who likes other females. It's basically a female version of gay, like you! *nods at Gaystripe* In "LGBTQ", we're the L!
Lesbianfin: *twirling and pointing at the image on the wall* Exactly! Over there is the lesbian flag. It's so pretty, isn't it?
The crowd cheers in agreement and suddenly, two she-cats stroll onto the stage.
Finchnose: Guys, haven't you heard?? Sablerose, hurry up!
Sablerose: Of course! *dashing after her mate, glancing at the audience* Hi everyone!
Gaystripe: Oh, not yet- oh well. Okay, everyone! This is Finchnose, and this is Sablerose, and these two are from Eventide... as promised from the last chapter! *winks* Say hello!
Audience: *screaming louder* HI FINCHNOSE!! HI SABLEROSE!!
Gaystripe: Do you guys have anything to add?
Finchnose: Yeah! Of course! Do you know what the United States is?
Audience: Yeah, we do!
Gaystripe: *nodding* Yeah, where is this going?
Finchnose: *skidding to the front of the stage* Recently, a lesbian couple in South Carolina sued a foster agency after they were turned away! It was apparently against the agency's beliefs, but we're proud of them for standing up for themselves.
Sablerose: Lesbians like us adopt kids because we can't have our own, obviously. Overall I'd say lesbians are pretty cool!
Rainbowstar, Lesbianfin: I know right?? We're so great.
A small collection of lesbians in the audience scream and shout, jumping up and down with excitement. Rainbowstar sends them a wink and they all scream louder.
Gaystripe: A cheers to lesbians! If there's any currently or previously on QueerWarriors, a cheers to them! Cheers to lesbians, cheers to those questioning as lesbians! Happy lesbian pride day!
The crowd roars with excitement, and Sablerose and Finchnose tango. Rainbowstar and Lesbianfin simply danced, though only after grabbing dresses that were colored like the lesbian flag.
Gaystripe: Okay guys, time to go home!
Rainbowstar, Lesbianfin, Sablerose, Finchnose: Uhh, no. Let us stay.
Gaystripe: *backing up a little* Okay, you guys can stay then... for the rest of the day?
Rainbowstar, Lesbianfin, Sablerose, Finchnose: Yes! We'll stay for the rest of lesbian pride day.
From there, the lesbians partied all night, until the next day would arrive, bringing a new day of pride to the world of QueerWarriors.
