Stay With Me: Hogwarts Rewritten

Part 16

Summer has only just started and it has been so much fun. Currently I was teaching Harry how to swim. He never learned, just another reason to hex the Dursley's.

"Now remember stroke with both arms, one after the other. Make sure to move your legs with your arms" I instructed him

I was on one side of the pool, while Harry was on the other. He was doing well and I knew he would swim on his own in no time. I held my hand on my forehead trying to block the sun from getting in my eyes. It was already so hot at my house, which was why my parents invested in a pool a few weeks ago. Harry and I practically spent everyday in the pool.

We went out and bought new bathing suits as well, Harry just got some board shorts. My mother wanted to get me a two piece, but my father wouldn't have it. I just got a simple blue one piece.

"Good job Harry" I told him as he swam right to me

"Thanks. You're a good teacher" He says wiping the water out of his eyes

"Well it seems you don't need a teacher anymore. How about we dry off and head inside? It's just about lunch time and I want to go to the park" I suggested

"Sure"

Going to the park was something I've always hated doing, mostly because I always saw people from school there and they were mean to me. But when Harry is with me, I felt safe. Both Harry and I quickly went inside and dried off before changing.

"So what is on the menu today? I could just make a couple of sandwiches, or I could make some pasta. I have been wanting to test this new tortellini recipe" Harry asks me

Something else that has been a common occurrence this summer, was Harry cooking. He used to cook everything at the Dursley's, so he was good at it. He really enjoyed making food and everything he made was always so delicious.

"How about some sandwiches? We can eat them quickly, I promise you will get to try your new recipe soon, maybe for dinner" I told him laughing at his expression when I mentioned his cooking

Just as Harry got all the stuff out, I saw Hedwig fly through the window. I wonder who sent us a letter? I grabbed the letter from her and opened it, it was from Fred and George.

"Harry, Fred and George sent us a letter"

Dear Hermione,

We wanted to know if you wanted to visit the burrow this summer? We just set up a new quidditch pitch outside and wanted to play a few games. Also our sister wants to meet Harry, we think she has a crush on him. Ron is being a rightful git and acting like the Slytherin he is. Write us back soon

From Forge and Gred

....

"Well what do you know, their sister is a fangirl. But playing quidditch seems cool. I miss being on a broom, and I could use the practice for next year. What do you think?" Harry asks me

I didn't like the fact that their little sister had a crush on Harry. She only knows him because of those books she reads. But I could see how badly he wanted to play quidditch again. Maybe I could make friends with her and let her know how close Harry and I are?

"I think it sounds great. But we should wait till the end of summer. We still have lots of things to do this summer that you never gotten to do. I will ask my parents and see what they say. For now we can go to the park" I tell him

As we finished eating, we made our way to the park. I made sure to change into a skirt and tank top due to the hot weather. The park wasn't very far so Harry and I mostly ran there. There were lots of kids playing and running. Harry and I took turns on the slide and the swings before taking a walk around the park. I took his hand in mine as the hot air blew through my hair.

Professor Mcgonagall have been explaining better ways to keep my hair less frizzy. She bought me some magic shampoo to keep it tamed, which I really appreciated. My hair was less big and had more waves. Harry said he really liked it.

"I like coming here and not having to worry about getting beaten up by my cousin. I never noticed how nice it was here" Harry said

"Yeah, I used to not like it here because kids from school always came here, and they were not the nicest. But I think I like the park more now" I told him

We took another walk around the park and we talked about all the things he will get to experience about summer. My favorite part was the fair. There was a giant fair in town that came every year. I loved it so much. Harry was never able to come with me because he could never sneak out.

After walking we made our way back home. We took a place in front of the Telly and turned on some movie. We stayed like that till I heard the front door open. My parents were home.

"Kids where are you?" I heard my father ask

"We're in the living room daddy!" I yelled to him

"Hello, how as your day? I hope you didn't spend all day watching the Telly" My mother says placing a quick kiss on my forehead

"No we went swimming and went to the park. We have only been watching for a couple hours" Harry tells them

"Good. Well after we get settled, your mother and I will get stared on dinner. We'll call you when it's done" He says before walking off with my mother

"The fair is in a few weeks, and I'm so glad you get to go. It has been so boring having no one to go with" I tell Harry scooting closer to him

"It sounds great, I'm really excited. Don't worry, you will never be alone again. I won't allow that to happen" He says placing his arm around my shoulders

I laid my head on his shoulder and we continued watching the movie. It wasn't long before we sat down and ate dinner. We made the plans to go to the fair, and summer only just started but it already seemed to be going fast. But what a summer it was going to be.
