Cornelius waited a bit to be sure that his daughter was out of ear shot, before he pulled his phone out and dialed Olivia Godfrey's number while allowing an angry growl to slip from his lips. The phone ran once before Olivia picked up greeting him. "Your son is a dead man."

"Cornelius darling, that seriously is no way to greet a close friend of yours," Olivia reprimanded.

Cornelius growled even more. "Don't you dare tell me how to greet someone. How can you consider us to be close friends after what your son had done to my daughter?!?"

"What has Roman done to your daughter that has you in such an uproar," Olivia asked.

"Your piece of filth son has mated my daughter against her free will. He used his abilities against her. Now mate or not that is still considered rape and that is highly frowned upon in society. I find it unacceptable and disrespectful to my daughter. I won't allow my daughter to go through with this arranged marriage," Cornelius growled through the phone.

"You can't go back on your word! I'm sorry that Roman acted out on instinct, but that is not going to stop the mates from being together," Olivia replied.

"Your son did not bother to use a condom and he released himself deep within my daughter," Cornelius screamed.

Olivia rolled here eyes. "More reason to hold the wedding sooner. Roman was trying to make sure that his mate didn't run off with another male. Now be a good father and tell your daughter that it's natural what my son did. Just tell her that she's over reacting or over thinking it and that she is only causing a scene that she really wanted it, but was ashamed to tell you how much pleasure she felt from Roman," Olivia said before hanging up the phone.

Cornelius growled while slamming his phone shut as Alyse made her way down with a bag of what she needed. "My daughter. I'm so sorry that you were forced to do something that you didn't want. I'm also sorry that I was unable to protect you better. I hope that by sending you into hiding out of state, that you are better protected than what you are here. I also hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me for failing you."

"Oh father, you didn't fail me. You didn't do anything wrong," Alyse said before releasing a sad sigh. "I know this must be hard for you. I thank you for doing what is best for me. I really do. I'll never forget how you have made this huge sacrifice for me, so that I can be safe. For doing this I'll always love you my father." Alyse then pulled her father into a tight hug in which her father hugged her back just as tightly.

"I love you too daughter. I thank you for allowing us to do this. I know I wasn't able to protect you. I hope you will find the safety that I couldn't give you here. You must go now my daughter. I'm aware that Olivia is contacting her son letting him know about my little outburst as we speak. If Roman finds out about it, it will only be a matter of time before Roman shows up at our doorstep. Please be quick and get in your car. Once you are out of sate, abandon the car so Roman can't find you. There is no doubt in my mind that he will call the police and have them search for you until you've been found and returned to him," Cornelius said before Alyse rushed out to her car, pulling out of her driveway and leaving the very place that she called home since she was born.

After driving for a while, Alyse made it to Ohio where she abandoned her car and started roaming around looking around at her new surroundings. Alyse was so intrigued by her new surroundings that she didn't notice a gypsy boy walking out of the store which he shoplifted from and accidentally bumped right into him.

"Oh my gosh! I'm terribly sorry about that. I should have been paying more attention to where I was going, instead of sight seeing," Alyse apologized while avoiding the eyes that she through would hold an angry glare.

The young man who seemed to be around Alyse's age gently lifted Alyse's chin up so his beautiful blue eyes could stare into her gorgeous green eyes. "No worries. I can tell you're new here. What's your name?"

Alyse couldn't help but smile. "My name is Alyse Stormnight."

"Did you say Stormnight? I've heard stories about your father always being protective of you. But he always had a soft spot for helping out Gypsies in need," The young man replied.

"Yes that is my father. He always showed kindness to Gypsies, because one Gypsy showed my father kindness and guided him in his time of need. I think my mother had said his name was Nicolae Rumancek. She had told me when I was only a small child. She would tell me stories about him and my father," Alyse explained.

"No way! Your father is Cornelius? I remember my mother pointing him out at Nicolae's funeral. Lynda said something about Cornelius having a daughter around the same age as myself, but your father wouldn't let you attend the funeral due to personal reasons," the Youngman said. "Mind clearing up what his personal reasons were?"

"Only if you tell me your name," Alyse replied.

"Oh yeah. Sorry about that," Peter said while rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "My name is Peter Rumancek."

"Well Peter I can assure you and your family that you guys weren't the reason why I couldn't attend the funeral. Father was trying to keep me out of the sight of a certain boy who father feared would only bring trouble my way. I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to pay my respects to your late grandfather," Alyse apologized.

"It's not your fault. I can see why your father would want to keep you hidden away. You're quite beautiful," Peter replied.

"Mr. Rumancek, are you trying to get me to fall for your charm, though it's been forever since we last saw one another. I remember you being on the playground looking over at me before that other boy came over and started to play with me; that was before he was told off," Alyse said remembering her time on the playground with Peter.

"Is it working? I've been wanting to approach you since the day I saw you on the playground, but Lynda said not to. She never did tell me the reason why," Peter explained.

"If you did then there would've been trouble for you. The other boy who chased away the other boy who was playing with me that day," Alyse explained.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but why did you leave your home," Peter asked.
