That night, Krist had a nightmare. He dreamed himself: his body was bloody and battered. He dreamed of being thrown in front of the Singto family's front door. It was his first time meeting Singto's family. In his heart, he strongly believed that Madame Ruangroj didn't like him at all. He was worried the presence would cause the entire family to feel unpleasant and not be able to enjoy the holidays. Even at times like these, Krist still thought about the wellbeing of others. He woke up from his dream in a cold sweat. He walked barefoot to the mirror, he looked at himself, then he looked at Singto.

It wasn't like he didn't know: if he was a little bit more handsome, had a better family background, was a little bit more intelligent, was a little bit more worthy of Singto, then maybe Singto's mother wouldn't hate him as much.

" Come here."

When Krist woke from his nightmare, Singto woke up as well, he just didn't make a sound. After watching Krist stand in front of the mirror for a long time in thin clothes on a cold  night, Singto finally couldn't help but scold him. Krist frowned and turned around the look at Singto underneath the moonlight.

"P'Sing, what do I do if your family doesn't like me?"

" I'm telling you to come here."

After standing for so long, Krist was rather cold. He shivered as he walked over, but he didn't want to get back in bed.

" If I go back for New Years, don't you think I'm basically asking for beating?"

Singto reached his hand out and pulled Krist beneath the warm blanket: "What's the point of thinking so much? If she doesn't like you, do I never bring you home?"

" If she doesn't let me through the front door, wouldn't I feel super awkward?"

When Krist got under the blanket, his cold and stiff body was instantly soothed. He carefully snuggled closer to Singto.

" Who am I?"

" You're P'Singto."

" Who is P'Singto?"

" Krist's man!"

" Then isn't that good enough? If I can put you in a coffin, then I can get you through my front doors."

" Hey hey, I don't like this figure of speech very much."

" It isn't a figure of speech."

Krist pouted, but then happily nestled deeper into Singto's arms.

" I just knew that P would be an amazing husband! In the future, I'll rely on P to solve all my problems. I will follow behind P, nibbling on sunflower seeds as P help me clear the thorny road ahead."

Singto wrapped his arms around Krist: "If I had the energy, I might as well just kill you. Hurry up and sleep."

Singto covered Krist's eyes with his hand, which reminded Krist of TV shows where people close the eyes of corpses. It was such a bad sign! But this was Singto's final decision, so all he could do was tightly close his eyes.

Before Krist fell asleep, he realized one thing: Singto would never help him clear the road ahead of him because Singto is actually the thorns on the road.

The next morning, Krist tidied his clothes as he thought about what he should do. His dad entered the room and sat on his son's bed.

"What's wrong? Before, you cried so much when you begged us. If we didn't let you and Singto to be together, you probably could've committed suicide. Now, just the thought of going to their home scares you?"

Krist looked at his father, he was slightly upset that his father brought up all these things. Just thinking about how he cried and made a fuss back then made him get goosebumps all over his body. He also said so many good things about Singto.
