The selfish hours flew by quickly as my lazy eyes took a sip of the bright sun. Hazel fell asleep in my arms. Her perfect beauty was the flavor of Heaven, her suave skin, the melody of Paradise. I felt happy and lucky to have someone by my side. My morning was definitely the heat of Winter. The last thing I wanted to remember was Jack's confession. He told me that we needed to find the letter for our own safety but yet, revealed that he knew where it was. I was trying to collect the pieces and create a complete puzzle. I wanted answers and I was confused, far away from my heavy thoughts.

Good morning, Beautiful. Wake up.

The words splashed in my head like a waterfall and my mouth was dying to expose them in her sleepy ears. I held myself back due to the fact that she needed her beauty sleep and was pregnant with my adorable baby. Could it be a girl? Could it be a boy? I had no clue. The nervousness burned my mind with deep happiness. I was going to be a dad. A good dad, at least. A baby is a miracle from Heaven and Hell. It can bring you disappointments and perfect behavior.

I don't think I'm ready to tell my daughter to come home before ten, to stop messing around with bad boys and behave like daddy's perfect girl. If it's a boy, I'll lose my mind completely. I'll have to take away his games for a week as his punishment, educate him and teach him how to be a gentleman. I can imagine myself telling my son to use protection during intercourse with a girl.

Use a condom, son. You don't want to end up like me.

Hey, erase that. I might get in trouble with Hazel.

"Good morning, babe." Hazel caressed my back as I sat down on the edge of the bed. "How long have you been up?" Her question captured my attention. Hazel, I'm sorry my love, I didn't mean to wake you.

"Good morning, sweetheart." I kissed her forehead gently. "A few minutes ago..." I answered her question. "You should sleep. You need to take care of yourself and the baby." I proved my point.

"My head is about to explode." She revealed. "This headache is killing me." She took a deep breath and let it all out. "Are going somewhere?" She patted my back and teased me with her touch.

"Yeah, yeah." I flew my fingers through my soft hair. "I need to call Jack. There's something very important that we need to handle." We made eye contact. "Dr. Pen gave you pills for pain, am I right?"

"Yes but," She stammered, dragging the word 'but'. "I hate pills."

"Baby, listen," I caressed her face slowly. "I know you don't like pills but do me a favor and like them just for today. Okay?" I placed a tiny hair behind her right ear. "Can you do that for me?"

Achoo.

Bless you, Darling.

My baby is sick. She has a cold.

"Okay." She agreed, vaguely. "But first, can you promise me that you're going to stay home with me?" Her tone was wet with sickness. "I don't want to stay here by myself."

"Sweet Candy, I have to go somewhere with Jack." I reminded her of my previous words. "I told you that we needed to handle something very important." I let out a deep sigh. "Baby, please just try to understand."

"I'm sick, Hawk." She stated, impatiently. "You're supposed to stay home with me and take care of me. I'm pregnant, I need you by my side but you rather hang out with your homeboy instead of your own girl."

"Come on, Hazel." I sighed. "Don't do this."

"Don't do what?" Her petty tone calculated her words. "You know, I'm right."

"Baby, I'm not saying you're wrong but at the same time you have to understand that I made plans with Jack and it's really important." I tried to explain myself but she wasn't having it.
