Kidnapped

Chapter 17

Five is leaning against the wall when I come out of the handler's office. It doesn't take long for him to run up to me.

"And?" He asks curiously.

I don't know what to answer. I was meant to ash the handler who causes the apocalypse. I already suspected that I was the cause but now I am sure of it. The only problem is that I can't tell Five.

There's this feeling that tells me that I should tell everything to Five. That I shouldn't be worried. He would've hurt me, I hope so at least.

"Five? Can we go back to your room?" I try to avoid his gaze "I need to tell you something."

He looks up, very confused. I can understand why. I'm doubting whether this was the wisest decision. But I guess we will see what happens when I tell the truth and if I change my mind, I should come up with a damn good lie.

Luckily for me, he doesn't say anything and just grabs my arm and spatial jumps us back to the place where he brought me before. The one we came to before I escaped. I can hear the water and the birds again. For a moment I forget what I came here to do.

But when Five sits down next to the stream and asks "What do you want to say?", I remember it immediately. I sigh and decide to it next to him.

Handy for him to crack my neck.

"Five, I know tgar you want to kill the person who causes the apocalypse. I just hope that you won't.."

"Why not?" His eyes meet mine and a frown appears on his forehead.

"Because.." This is it. I have to tell him. I don't have a lie prepared so I can't stop now.

"Because I cause it."

I look down, not wanting to see his face. If he decides to kill me then he will have to get it over with. Instead of feeling his hand crack my neck, I can feel his hand grabbing mine.

"Are you sure?" He asks in a tone that tells me that he isn't angry with me.

"Yeah, I am.." I answer as I try not to tear up but it is hard because all the tears are ready to fal down my cheeks.

What an emotional roller coaster the last weeks have been. First my parents get killed, I almost get murdered, Five saves me from getting murdered, Five kidnaps me, I get locked up in his room, he puts a tracker in my neck, I see my friend again, Five shows me the spot we are in now, I meet the handler, Five gets pissed af, I escape, I freaking kill a boy, I almost kill his friends, Five finds me, we go back to the academy to find out more about what is happening to me, i find a book that says I cause the end of the world and humanity and now I know that I cause the end of everything.

Very nice.

"How long did y-you know?" He stutters.

"I was suspecting it but now I know." I answer his question "The emty book.. it wasn't empty for me. Your father wrote a letter to me on the first page. He said that my mom also had powers and that she made a mistake in her lofe so the commission killed her.  He also said that he hid my powers for everyone, even for me."

"I killed before Five.. I am a monster."

He suprises me as he sneaks his arms around me and pulls me closer to him.

"You aren't a monster." He says as he plants a kiss on my forehead.

My stomach turns around. I'm not used to this Five. To even get kisses from him, but I like it.

"We found a wat didn't we? To get you calm again?"

I haven't practiced that much and I didn't have the chance to actually use it yet but I think we did. I just hope that it works. So that I don't cause the end of the world. "Y-yes." I stutter, not having recovered from his lips on my forehead yet.

"Is that why you went to the commission?" He asks.

"I told her that I knew.. that I knew that I am meant to destroy the world and kill every human alive. I also told her that it wasn't going to happen. She was speechless. I don't think I was supposed to come there either. She didn't have it planned. What if I am already changing the future?" I start rambling.

Five chuckles. "That would be amazing."

While walking back to the academy, I sae people my age coming home from school.

It made me realize that even though I never said I would, I'm actually missing school. Well, seeing my friends. The talking and the laughing. Not the homework and anxiety.

"Do you think I will be able to pick up my normal life again?" I ask Five "You know.. without being scared to kill others?"

It would be hard to pick up my normal life again. It won't ever be normal again. Not since my parents are dead and I have powers. Everything changed.

My uncle, who didn't like us anyway, already sold all of our stuff so no heading back anymore. I can't face him. No one actually. They just gave up on finding me or they didn't even try. Most likely the last.

"I know so." Five replies, laying his arm upon my shoulders "It would be good to practice."

I'm pretty sure that my eyes are sparkling right now. Does he really think I can go back? Would he let me?

"If you really want to start why don't you start tomorrow already? I don't want to hold you back." Five says and I can't keep my smile in.

"Thank you." I say as I lean in for a hug.

Meanwhile at the commision

"We've got a huge problem." The handler yells at the person making sure nothing goes wrong with the apocalypse.

"W-what?" The poor women stutters.

"Check if the apocalypse is still happening. Now!"

The woman immediately sends someone to the exact time that Five time traveled to the apocalypse. It takes about ten minutes that they get a message.

"The apocalypse.. isn't happening anymore. It's a normal day. Are you sure you sended me to the right time?" The woman tells the handler.

"Shit!" The handler yells.

"How did this happen?" the women asks shocked. The handler glares at her. This woman is supposed to make sure it happens. She's not the one to ask questions here.

"Because of Five. They weren't supposed to fall in love." The handler says, making sure to stay calm so she doesn't freak out the woman even more.

"I will make sure that the apocalypse happens! You're fired!" The handler yells, not being able to keep calm any longer. Honestly, the woman can be glad that she doesn't get murdered on the spot.

'Bring y/n to the commission. Hurt her till she gets so hurt that the apocalypse does happen.'
