Since Reinlas and Farenhale started working together to find out more about the visions the wars in the west have raged on for 100 billion years but it seems the fighting in all the wars except the ones Itanroras kingdom is involved in have calmed down in fighting but even then all is not as anyone in Gierlanth thought. Reinlas in currently down in the city checking on everyone when Farenhale sees him and walks over.
"Hello brother, how are you today?" Farenhale says
"Ah hello brother, I am well" Reinlas says
"Good to hear, any new visions lately?" Farenhale asks
"Yes although they are only weaker ones that I can block myself from seeing" Reinlas says
"Ah good" Farenhale says
At that moment a mage speeds over slightly surprising the brothers.
"My lords I must speak to you" The mage says
"What is it my friend?" Reinlas says
"The patrols at the valley city recently came across bodies in the valley, most likely people from the waring kingdoms in the west but these ones were burnt to death in the valley from the look of it its so bad you cant even tell who they are" The mage says
"A sad tale it seems we must do something for them try and identify them they may have things that survived the burning. We must also bury them" Farenhale says
"There is something else to we saw bite marks it seemed like creatures tried to eat them but this bit mark is much bigger than any creature we have encountered before" The mage says
"Bring us there immediately we must see this ourselves" Reinlas says
"Of coarse my king. Please follow me" the mage and the brothers speed out towards the valley city and into the valley.
Upon arrival the brothers can smell the scene and see multiple guards there waiting for orders on what to do next. The brothers turn the corner and see the corpses it appears to be a small group that even had children given the size of the corpses. A guard comes over to Reinlas.
"My king we have investigated the area and found a small cave these people must have been using as shelter we found little things to show who they were other than this journal. Their names are in there with is good but they seem to have gotten paranoid from sounds they were hearing." The guard says
"Have you found anything that could lead to what happened here other than this?" Reinlas asks
"We suspect some manner of creature did this not because of the bite marks but because their are no tracks other than a large creatures tracks with burnt ground in front of them" The guard says
"I want this to be investigated more please hand me the journal as well I wish to know more of these people" Reinlas says
"Of coarse, here my king" The guard says handing the journal over
Reinlas began reading through the journal it detailed the people who were a family called the Relora's escaping the war torn countryside of the kingdom they come from. They had hoped to get into Gierlanth but were unsuccessful do to all the ways that were cut off or collapsed on purpose to keep people out. So they had taken shelter in a cave and were doing alright given their situation but they began to fear the valley as they had heard a terrifying roar some nights by some creature. The final entry was of the day they died presumably written by the father, he had written about a creature with black wings and as tall as a house living in the valley. It hunted whatever it could find burning them with fires from its very body and then eating them. The father was chased by the creature but he thought he got rid of it but that was all that was wrote.
