Bright orange light streams into the spacious room through the silk canopy draped over the bed. Small, snuffly snores emanate from the mouth of a long, lanky girl. Her sprawled out limbs are blanketed in faux fur, toes dangling over the edge of the bed frame. Short golden waves frame an angelic tanned face, grinning, deep in dreamland. She stirs occasionally, seemingly awake yet impossibly drawn under again. Small, spotted furry feet swipe at the tantalising toes hanging just out of reach over the edge of the mattress. In amongst the swiping paws, a claw hooks the edge of the bed. The snoring mound of blanket begins to stir.

Deep brown eyebrows twitch as she slowly pulls herself out of sleep, breathing in the earthy, deep smell of coffee wafting toward her.

She pads tentatively toward the open window, letting the salty breeze waft past her, between the nooks and crannies of her muscular arms, and over the glowing walls. Specks tumble around on the sandy lagoon at the end of the road, preparing the fishing boats, and swimming in the fresh blue ocean of Crab Bay.

With a sharp yawn, and a cup of coffee, Cancer Coast awakens.
