"Hello?"

"Good Morning, Aija."

"Good Morning, Hikaru."

"I hope you slept well."

"I slept just fine. A bit cold but fine."

"Well, maybe I should have come and kept you warm."

"Maybe. But my covers are doing a good job here."

"Touche. Come on, I'm trying."

"Okay, okay. I'll cut you some slack."

"How about cutting me some more slack say at...lunch today?"

"Dr. Mizuno, are you asking me for a lunch date?"

"It's not apparent, Miss Edwards?"

"It's starting to be. Do I get to pick what we do and where we go?"

"What baby wants, baby gets."

"Ooh, I like the sound of that."

"Well get used to it, because I mean it."

"Then it's a date. I'll see you at your office at lunchtime."

"I look forward to it. Have a good day at work, Aija."

"You as well, Doctor."

"Goodbye."

"Bye-bye."

Hikaru smiled as he remembered the conversation that morning on the phone. It was becoming a habit that he found he loved doing and he noticed that she seemed to like the phone calls also. Glancing out of his office door, it took everything in him not to go in there and just sit next to Aija at her desk. As wonderful as the thought was, duty as a doctor called and Hikaru sat back looking over his charts. The next day he would have to go to the hospital and do his rounds. He loved the quiet of the clinic, but he also enjoyed meeting many new faces at the busy medical establishment as well. As he read over the medical history of the patients he would be seeing tomorrow, a knock at his door made him glance up.

Andrew tapped on the door frame before walking in. "Dr. Mizuno, if you have time, I need a consult from you." Hikaru frowned; he wasn't usually needed for a consult but he got up, putting on his white coat.

"What room?"

"Three."

Hikaru fixed his collar and his stethoscope walking in the direction of his colleague. "Yes, I'll be right there, Dr. Carter."

"Great." Andrew nodded and walked out. Hikaru grabbed his laptop and then walked in the direction of the room catching a glimpse of Aija working hard at the front desk. She glanced back at him and gave him a soft smile. He gave one back before turning into the room.

He was surprised to see a young boy on the table and ignored the instant sinking feeling in his heart. "Mr. and Mrs. Spader, this is Dr. Mizuno, one of our specialists. I believe that he can give you the answers to your questions and can take a better look at your son." Andrew explained to them.
