Aija just stared at Hikaru, her brain racing as she processed what he just told her. She couldn't really do anything but move to the side for Hikaru to walk silently inside her house. Hikaru did so and stood there by the front door with his hands in his pockets. Aija shut the door in silence then walked over to her couch. Her body was literally fighting for control in two ways. One was her heart raging for her to yell at him for him to explain, while her mind tried to put her aunt's words to use. She was going to have to take this in a delicate matter so that she wouldn't mess it up for the both of them.

"Aija, do you want to say something?" Aija heard Hikaru say behind her. She made her decision and turned around to look at him, before lowering herself to the couch.

"I need to hear an explanation, Hikaru."

"Yes. I expected that you would."

"So, let's hear it."

Hikaru nodded and while still holding his hands in his dress pants and he said, "I went to the bar after I left you and your father."

Aija's eyes widened; way far from where she thought he was located, but she figured as much from the smell of alcohol on his breath. "A bar, huh? Okay..."

Deep breath in...

"I got drunk." Hikaru confessed, staring straight into Aija's eyes. She knew that he was trying to give her the complete truth; Hikaru wasn't known for lying. He believed in whatever was done, consequences were made and he was responsible for his. She felt saddened that her father had driven him to go and drink, but she wasn't sure she wanted to know what happened. Why Nicole of all people? Did Hikaru call her for a booty call as her father had told her? Steeling herself for the worse she straightened up her back saying, "Continue. I need to know what happened and stick to the point if you will."

Hikaru did, telling her all about how Nicole had suddenly appeared at the bar and took a slight advantage of him while he was intoxicated. Aija grit her teeth as she heard how while he was trying to sober up, Nicole had taken her chance to feel upon him and kiss him. When he finished and looked at her, Aija searched his eyes to see if he was telling the absolute truth. It was a wild story, that was for sure and for all Aija knew, Hikaru could be playing her like a fool just like what had happened to Evelyn.

Not really able to make a decision, Aija sighed and looked out the window. Hikaru gave a frown before finally coming over to sit next to her. The slight rumbling of thunder told them that the rainstorm that had appeared earlier was making an encore performance and that was just alright with Aija. She watched as the rain started to fall, dripping onto the trees outside her window and onto the patio. All of Seattle was being blanketed by water, and as a soft lullaby, it began to calm Aija's spirit. She then felt Hikaru's hand starting to rub her back in a comforting circle. While she didn't like the situation they were in right now, she did like the calming feeling of the motion. Her head fell back slightly as her muscles relaxed.

A chuckle came from Hikaru as his hands drifted up to her shoulders. He began to massage them and Aija responded in turn, by sighing with approval.

"I remember the last time a massage was needed..." Hikaru said, his hands still moving.

"Hm."

"I remember the outcome of that massage too."

Aija turned her head to question what he was talking about then was surprised to feel Hikaru's lips covering hers. After a short moment, she pushed him back with a hand on his chest a little. Hikaru broke the kiss looking down at her and seeing her even more confused frown, he asked, "What?"
