Chapter 8. Safe

[Narrator]

Y/N is now at their house. Her parents are still not home and it was 08:45 p.m. She's still thinking about Mirae.

"Jisung-ah aren't you hungry?" she asked her brother who's laying and reading at the sofa.

"Yes but Mom said they will buy us dinner so I will wait for that" he said without looking at his sister.

"I'm hungry" she said while yawning.

"Then cook" he said in savage that made his sister stand up and go to their kitchen. She search for food and anything to cook but there's no stock of food in their kitchen except kimchi.

"Argh! Jisung-ah can you buy food at the nearby convenient store?" she said but then her stubborn brother just run upstairs. She have nothing to do but to go out. She walked in front of Jaemin's house and stop their for a second, she was thinking if should she ask a food on Jaemin but it was shameless to ask. She decided to continue walking at the nearby convenient store. She feel like someone was following or staring at her but she just don't mind it and quick her walk.

"Good evening" the counter greeted her as she bow. She pick up an instant ramen in a bowl, cheese and raw egg. She pay for it and cook for a minutes and she enjoy her ramen in a standing table. She received a call from an unknown number.

"Hello?" she answered it while blowing her ramen. It took a seconds and the caller is still not talking or making any noise.

"Hello? Who's this?" she said and the caller was still not talking when a horn of a car sounds and that's when she heard it outside of the convenient store and she look at the glass window of the store and she gasped when she saw a guy infront of him. And that guy is the guy at the club.

"How he know my number?" she said in herself still in shock and don't know what to do. She was about to leave when she bumped to a guy that made her shocked.

"Y/N?" It was Jaemin. She look up at him and made a sigh as a relief then she look at the outside again and the guy was disappeared.

"Are you okay?" Jaemin asked her but she just look at him.

"Is their something wrong?" he said and that Y/N sighed again and said nothing.

"W-why are you here?" she said.

"I just...need to buy snacks hehe" he said with an awkward smile.

"Ahh" she replied.

"But you? You said you're going to sleep an hour ago but why are you here?" he asked her and that she smiled awkwardly.

"I'm hungry" she said and made Jaemin look for her ramen.

"Ok" then Jaemin look for some foods and Y/N was still looking for the guy and looking at her phone. She thought that it was just an imagination. Minutes have passed when Jaemin stood beside her with a cup of ramen too.

"I should join you eating" he said while mixing his ramen. And Y/N was just looking at her ramen.

"Already full?" he said and that's when Y/N started to eat again. After they eat they walk on their way home.

"Where are the foods you bought?" Y/N asked him and he forgot that it was just an alibi.

He knew that Y/N was in danger. He was waiting Y/N to get home and he promised that he will care and protect her after the incident. He hide when he saw Y/N walking near their house and he keep an eye to her until she get in her house. He, then come in his house and about to close the door when he saw a tall guy walking to Y/N's house and he keep his eyes to the guy who was standing infront and smiling then walk away.

He received a message from Y/N that she just got home and he thought that Y/N don't know that a guy was following her he was about to ask her when she said she'll go to sleep and that's when Jaemin decided to tell it tomorrow.

He was about to go upstairs when he saw Y/N looking at his house then walks away. He quickly grab his jacket and shoes to follow her. When he was closing their gate he saw the guy again following her. He quietly walks too, the guy saw him but then he pretend that he's just walking and stretching. He followed them until Y/N entered the convenient store, the guy didn't enter but he walk at the side while keeping an eye to Y/N. He enters the store too without Y/N noticing it, he was just hiding and watching Y/N and when he saw Y/N's reaction and the guy outside he quickly but calmly reach for Y/N who was about to run away. He saw the guy's face so annoyed and walk away.

"Ah my money is not enough that's why" he replied and she nod.

"By the way why took you so long to got home?" Jaemin asked her.

"Ah...I...buy s-something" she was stuttering.

"What you bought?" he asked that made Y/N nervous.

"Woman things" she answered and Jaemin just 'Ah~'

"Ah! I forgot to tell you something" Jaemin said that made Y/N curious.

"What's that?" She said.

"If you don't mind... Can you..."  He can't tell it.

"Can I?" she knitted.

"Tomorrow...m-movie..." He said stuttering.

"Huh?"

"Can you...go with me tomorrow? We'll watch movie" he finally said it. That made Y/N out of words.

"Okay?" she answered and smiled.

"But...we have night class tomorrow right?" she added.

"Ah I mean on the next day?" he was so shy to ask her.

"Okay...but why...suddenly?" she said awkwardly.

"Because..."
