Chapter 15

It's a few hours later and Maya finished making dinner.
Since Auggie was asleep she decided to help and prepare that.
Cory and Riley were playing a game when Topanga came in.

"What the hell are you doing here? Do you realize our son is sick? The principal..."
"Calm down Mrs Matthews. She called me as well so I collected him. He has stopped vomiting and his fever is down. He's asleep," Maya said.
"Thank you. I don't know what I would gave done without you."
"Dinner will be ready in a second," Maya said.
"You really are saving us today. Thank you Maya. How was school today?" Topanga asked.
"I don't want to talk about it."
"How come? Was it that bad?" Topanga asked and sat down while Maya dished up.
"Like I said. I don't want to talk about it. Dinner is ready."

After everyone ate Maya checked up on Auggie.

"Still asleep. He should be fine," Maya said.
"Thank you Maya," Cory said.
"Yeah I have no idea what we would have done without you. Thank you," Topanga said and Maya's phone vibrated.
"My dad. I really have to go. I'll see you guys tomorrow," Maya said.

She then went straight home and got the worst cry in the entire world.
Of course her eight month sister is driving her dad crazy.

"Hi Ravvie-girl," Maya said and picked Raven up.
"Dad?" Maya said as she gave Raven a binky.
"Hey where were you?" Shawn asked.
"I got a call saying my future cousin is sick. Auggie was vomiting so I babysat while his mom was in Manhattan. Kept me busy," Maya said and felt something odd.
"And as it feels she also has a fever. Can you get me the thermometer?" Maya ask.
"Yeah," Shawn said.
"You feeling sick?" Maya asked.
"Here," Shawn said and Maya took Raven's temperature.

She took it out of her ear and her eyes widened.

"70°C. Call Mom and let her know. I'll see how I can get it down," Maya said.
"Okay. Katy it's Shawn. Raven is sick. Call me when you get this message."
"Nothing?" Maya asked.
"Yeah."
"Well I need you to go get something for fever. We're out. I'll stay with her," Maya said.
