It was quite a nice place Josh took Maya at.
Not like any other place he would usually take a girl.
It was a lot like Lucy's but maybe with a more grown up vibe.

"This place is nice. Where did you come with it?" Maya asked.
"My brother took me here once. Can you believe that? Think I was ten. It was long before we even met," Josh said.
"Okay. What did Shawn mean with you have been in a bad mood?" Josh asked getting right into it.
"Promise me you won't tell anyone," Maya said.
"I promise," Josh said.
"I got pushed last week and got hurt. Lucas and Farkle attacked the guys and got suspended May. Please don't tell anyone," Maya said.

Shallow tears were in her eyes and Josh could see it was bad.
He put his hand over hers and smiled.

"Are you okay?" Josh asked.
"Just a few bruises but I am fine."
"That's all that is important. But next time tell them you're fiancé will sort them out. It's fortunate that you've okay," Josh said.
"The bullying has been going on for awhile. It was just text messages calling me names and then last week's incident. I'm too scared to talk to Riley and I have no idea what to say to Lucas or Farkle," Maya said.
"I understand. But you have to face them sometime," Josh said.
"Okay let's talk about something else. How was your week?"
"Rough. And my mother actually want us to discuss a few things about the wedding," Josh said.
"Wanna do it now?" Maya said.
"Yeah think that is a good idea."

Maya got her diary out of her handbag and a pen.

"What is first?" Maya asked.
"What about something to drink?" Josh asked.
"Orange juice."
"Two orange juices please. Okay. I suggest we start with bridesmaids and bestmen. I was thinking of asking Cory and Shawn and maybe Auggie," Josh. said.
"Well I definitely want Riley there and then I thought of your sister-in-law and my mom. And if they will allow it I really want my sister as my flower girl," Maya said.
"Okay so that's settled. The theme is apparently something big. I don't know if you want something girly or something a bit more modern."
"Girly? No. I think I would go for modern and classy but yet elegant. Like gold and silver," Maya said.
"That would be perfect. Looks like we agree on something. Okay you just have to tell me what you think about these two cards. It's for the... What do you call it?"
"Safe The Date maybe?" Maya said.
"Yeah."
"Then I'll go with this one. What do you think?" Maya ask.
"Perfect," Josh said and the waiter bring their drinks.

"Thanks. I think that is all the wedding arrangements," Josh said.
"For now you mean. There is still a long way to go," Maya said.
"Why don't you sing something? I've heard you have an amazing voice," Josh said.
"Yeah. Okay," Maya said.

Maya smiles and then she opens her mouth.

Song Maya sang 👇

"Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
Sometimes life gets bitter
I get strung out, caught in the middle
And I can't breathe
I just need a little taste of paradise
I know a place I can escape to
Where I go, troubles never break through
The grass is greener, my head is clearer
I got peace of mind when I fall into your eyes
Your love's like breathing in the salty air
Of summer on a private island just for me
Your love's like the feeling I get
When my favorite songs spinnin' in my head
Keep it play playin' on repeat
It's like flowers in the spring time
Every day is Valentine's
So good it's hard to describe
It's like Paris after midnight,
Dancing in the moonlight
That's what your love,
That's what your love's like
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
That's what your love,
That's what your love's like
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
That's what your love,
That's what your love's like
Stop signs, I keep on runnin' into
Red lights make me wanna scream like
Why can't it just be only you and me all the time
In a world no one can find
Your love's like breathing in the salty air
Of summer on a private island just for me
Your love's like the feeling I get
When my favorite songs spinnin' in my head
Keep it play playin' on repeat
It's like flowers in the spring time
Every day is Valentine's
So good it's hard to describe
It's like Paris after midnight,
Dancing in the moonlight
That's what your love,
That's what your love's like
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
That's what your love,
That's what your love's like
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
That's what your love,
That's what your love's like
When life has left me numb
And I need a pick me up
There's no better rush than your love
Your love, your love
Your love's like breathing in the salty air
Of summer on a private island just for me
Your love's like the feeling I get
When my favorite songs spinnin' in my head
Keep it play playin' on repeat
It's like walking on the ceiling
Can't compare the feeling
Better than I could ever describe
It's like soaking in the sunrise
Not a worry on my mind
That's what your love,
That's what your love's like
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
That's what your love,
That's what your love's like
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
That's what your love,
That's what your love's like
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
That's what your love,
That's what your love's like
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
Woh-Oh-Oh-Oh
That's what your love's like."

When Maya stops singing a song which has so much meaning to her she goes to sit down next to Josh.

"You did it. You completely turned everything upside down. Just a minute ago you were depressed and now you sang a song which made everything seem like a breeze," Josh said and Maya smiled.
"I take that as you liked it?"
"Yeah you can say that. You were amazing. Really," Josh said.
"Thank you. I've always tried to write my own stuff when I was younger but lately I don't even do it anymore. Probably too busy," Maya said.
"Original? That's impressive. I want to ask you a question and it's not about the wedding neither about the business," Josh said.
"Okay. You can go ahead," Maya said.
"How do you feel about me?" Josh asked.

Maya looked at Josh before looking down.
She knew that question would be asked sometime but she didn't thought he would be the one asking.

"You know how I feel about you," Maya said as she looked into Josh's brown eyes.
"I've always loved you and I always will," Maya said

Josh have Maya a small but sweet smile.
He has never had that much honesty but when he hears that he knew this wasn't just another story.
Her feelings are real.

It was near twelve and Josh offered Maya some coffee at his place.

" How is Raven doing since the entire medicine story?" Josh asked.
"Oh that girl decided to get sick the same day as Auggie and neither me or my parents got any sleep. She is doing a lot better now," Maya said.
"I'm glad. What about you after that incident?" Josh asked.
"I'll tell you this. I'm very scared now for everyone. I don't know why but it just seem like I can't trust anyone anymore," Maya said.
"You can trust me," Josh said and took Maya's hand.
"I know I can."

The two probably looked for the first time ever in each other's eyes.
Maya knew how she felt and Josh as well.
Josh smiled at Maya and leaned forward to her.
They kissed!
Maya waited for years for this moment and now she experienced it.
