Mash It Up

"Oooo, I'm so happy to be in these genie outfits again. "Audrey's voice ruins my train of thought yet again. One of these days she's going to be found dead in a ditch and it'll either have been me or I'll laugh. Actually, either way I'd laugh.

"But... where are ours? "I look to Jane who is currently sporting her usual... I can't even think of a way to describe it.

"I haven't been able to settle on a design for you, guys, yet. Besides, I'm back order." Jordan responds. I bet Evie's already designed at least five outfits for both Jane, Ally and Lonnie already.

"Works for me. I'm not really much of a 'genie chic' type. I consider myself a little more... Wonderland unique." I look to Evie and can literally feel the designs being thought of. I'm really proud of her she's embracing her smarts but still enjoying her designing. Even mixing them up in Lonnie's outfit ways.

"Okay, people! This is crunch time. Auradon prep's annual Fighting Knight's ball is coming up and we still don't have a theme for the party!" how am I always being dragged into this. I suppose I need to get used to this sorta stuff if I'm gonna be Ben's girlfriend/wife. Slash wife?! I'm getting ahead of myself here. Although, If I wanna stay with him, we can't be just boyfriend and girlfriend forever. I have time to think. It's not like he's going to propose in the next five years.

"Ooo, I know! Let's do a pretty, pretty princess theme," I try and hold back the sarcastic remark but Ally beats me to it.

"We did that last year! And the year before. And the year before." I give Ally a smile.

"I have an idea!" We all turn to Mal

"let me guess, you want everyone to wear purple?"

"Audrey," I fake gasp and put a hand to my heart "I am so disappointed in you, I expected a remark on us being 'evil' but you didn't," She rolls her eyes "are you getting soft? Or even worse. We're growing on you,"

"Anyway no." Mal defends herself then pauses "actually yes,"

"What about a "who's the fairest" party? It'll be a competition. The winner will get everything and the loser will get nothing.," Evie rambles. The poison apple doesn't fall far from the tree as her mother would say.

"That sounds mean," Jane pouts

"Thanks!" I pat Evie on the back. She looks at me strangely so I mutter that it wasn't a compliment.

"How about a kickboxing hip-hop ball?" Lonnie enthuses

"I'm listening," I cross my legs

"So, you dance while you punch your friends?"

"Now that sounds like my kinda party," Freddie spins with her beanbag, finally joining our conversation and I use my right hand to snap and do a finger gun towards her.

"What about a garden pumpkin party? We could decorate everything with pumpkins! Bibbidi Bobbidi! At her last two words pumpkins surround us. I move the one that appeared on my lap and launch it towards Freddie. She catches it with ease and as I turn back to the group Audrey is talking

"You wanna throw a garden vegetable party? "

"How about a wicked ball?" Mal snaps her fingers and she's dressed back in her usual outfit, she talks about Audrey wearing the same thing every day, but everyone does it. "Can't change perfect"

Jordan changes Mal back "Perfectly imperfect. A genie party."

"You want a party that celebrates you?"

"Well, yeah. I'm fabulous."

"And Audrey, wouldn't a pretty princess party just celebrate you? Wouldn't it exclude everyone who's not a princess?"

"Well that's just the VK's so..." Ally raises her hand, to object but Jordan beats her to it

"Watch what you say or I'll make sure you look like a tacky genie rip off,"
"Rain does make a good point," Ally starts "a lot of people who come here aren't royal,"

"A Fighting Knights party! "Jane shouts and banners fall from the ceiling.

"A party, based around the actual concept..." everyone looks to me "I mean yeah..."

"A party in the dark.," Freddie suggests and I snap my fingers to make it pitch black.

"Magic carpet ride party. "Jordan snaps her fingers and we're all floating on a magic carpet to ourselves.

"How about a wonderful Wonderland party?" I snap my fingers and I guess wonderland stuff appears.

"Neon-glow party!" Lonnie shouts, it seems me and Jordan are tacking turn as this time she snaps and Lonnie is back in her clothes from the other night.

"I have an idea! Why don't we just do all of our themes? "Freddie suggests.

"That sounds like madness!" Ally exclaims.

"Exactly! It'll be a mad princess, hip-hop, party in the dark, magic carpet, wicked Wonderland, garden neon lights party! "

"Wait! A neon lights party! That's actually really cool!" I stop her with my hand. Mal seems to understand what I'm getting at.

"it could be some sort of neon light filled mash-up of all of our ideas with everyone glowing via Evie's neon fashion invention."

"Or... do you guys wanna talk about it for a few more hours?"

"No!" everyone shouts at my question.

"Great! I'll start working on the E-blast. Oh, what to wear, what to wear?" Ally agrees

"Just the right neon fashion will be... phosphor-essential!" everyone laughs. I can't help but smile
