Neon Lights Out

"You're stepping on my toes, just like last time," Ben winces as my foot collides with his yet again.

"Sorry, not a lot of couples dancing on the Isle,"

"Why don't I just step on yours and we'll call it even?" I raise my eyebrow and deliberately stomp on one of his feet. He makes a noise of pain.

"I couldn't resist. You just look so cute when you're in pain," Ben smiles fakes a me. I laugh before Jay and Carlos and Jay walk in. I walk towards them, Not a happy look on my face.

"Hi, guys. Thanks for picking us up..." I look down to my imaginary watch "3 hours ago,"

"We didn't pick you up..." Jay looks confused

"I was being sarcastic,"

"I didn't even get that! Living in Auradon is really messing with me,"

"Yeah," I nod

"Where were you, guys?" Mal's voice comes from my right and I notice everyone standing around. Well not everyone. But most people.

"We got carpet jacked!" Jay exclaims.

"What? That doesn't happen in Auradon!" Jordan accuses. A lot of these that 'don't happen in Auradon' have been happening.

"Apparently, it does," Carlos shrugs. They go on to talk about Carlos' tux, but I'm not interested.

"So, who did it?" Mal asks. Finally, back onto the topic at hand.

"I don't know! We were getting ready to head out and the rug was pulled from underneath our feet! Literally!" Carlos exclaimed drum sound when a joke is made, plays from Lonnie's direction

"Seemed fitting,"

"So, you never saw who did it." Jordan continues our interrogation. Something catches Jay's eyes

"Hey! Isn't that the mascot?" and there it is. Someone walking in Jane's mascot. But it's not Jane.

"Oh, good. Jane found it," Ally sighs

"Found what?" Jane appears next to Audrey. Told you.

"You're not in the mascot uniform!" Evie helpfully points out.

"Uh, yeah. Cause this is a formal night. And besides, how could I be in my mascot uniform? It was stolen, remember?" h=Jane explains.

"But if you're not in it, then who is? Ally looks scared.

"Guys, it's okay! I'm sure there's an explanation for why..." the lights go out and Ben is cut off. Only a few of our dresses stand out. My entire dress is a red glow, the design going over the chest glowing brighter. "What? Hey, let me go!" his voice is distant and as the lights turn back on, he's gone.

"Ben?!" I call out "where did he go?"

"This needs search music," Lonnie starts playing, well I guess 'search music'. Everyone follows Audrey in searching. I'm still stood in shock.

"Does the concept "divide & conquer" not exist here in Auradon?" I look at them all scrabbling after each other.

"I don't understand. How can he just disappear?" Audrey starts. They al crowd around me and Lonnie at the DJ booth.

"I don't know,"

"Did you do this?!" she points her finger at me.

"Seriously?" My tone of voice makes a sudden change from confusion to anger.

"Why would you even ask that?" Evie sticks up for me.

"Well, Ben did magically disappear and Rain does have magic, so..."
"Ally shut up." everyone looks shocked "Jordan has magic, I'm not blaming her or Mal,"

"So, that reactions shows you could have done this!" Ally's voice fills my ears again.

"Why would I make my boyfriend disappear?!" I can fell the anger again. Oh god, please don't let my hair glow. Mal rubs my back to calm me.

"Maybe it's part of your plot," I thought more of Jordan

"My plot?"

"Oh, you know. To take over Auradon and other evil things,"

"If that was my plan, Audrey would be dead a long time ago," I look to both Audrey and Ally "and you, the way this is going. Why would I do this anyway?"

"Because you were raised by a villain!" Audrey points at me and it hits my chest

"Don't touch me," I take a deep breath "what more do I have to prove before you accept me?"

"Hiiiiiiiii"

"Oh no," I look up to find CJ swinging in on a rope. Honestly, I'm happy to see her. Even if she caused all this.

"Sorry to interrupt. No, I'm not." she lands on the stage with grace.

"CJ," I murmur.

"Hey, Rainy. Miss me?" I glare at her for the nickname "Oh, I was going to give up dramatic entrances. So flashy. But... what can I say? I'm hooked." I hold back a smile at the dramatics. I have missed that about the isle.

"I don't understand what's going on, but here's some pirate music," Lonnie presses a button on the DJ set.

"Let me get this straight, you, guys, know each other?" I glare at Jordan

"CJ's captain Hook's daughter," Evie clarifies

"Oh. Well, that does explain the seaweed stench," If I wasn't mad at Jordan, I'd laugh.

"That's rotting kelp!"

"Great, another VK,"

"Shut it Audrey," CJ smirks at me.

"We've not los you completely then Rainy?"
