Thea couldn't fight the smile that broke out onto her face as she stepped inside the familiar foyer of the Salvatore Boarding House, her excitement and joy at seeing her friends and being back in the place she once called home bubbling to the surface. The brunette had been quiet and a lot more reserved after losing Davina a couple of days ago, and, after receiving a phone call from Damon stating that Katherine was on her deathbed, Klaus could think of no better way to restore the light back inside the Lockwood teens eyes, than to bring her back home.
The wolf was ecstatic at first when he had told her, rushing about her room like a headless chicken to pack everything she owned. They were only staying for a day at the most, so it wasn't as if she needed a lot, but that didn't stop the wolf from packing the majority of things she owned in pure excitement. But, as realisation began to set in, the teen remembered how she had neglected to tell her friends that she was pregnant...with Klaus' child no less.
It had been months since the hybrid had caused a problem for the Scooby gang, but he was after all to them, still viewed as an enemy. And, if Tyler's reaction was anything to go by, she was sure they weren't going to be pleased that she was carrying his child. However, as she neared the familiar Mystic Falls sign with both Klaus and Rebekah by her side, the less Thea began to worry as she realised she didn't care for their opinions anymore.
They were her friends, yes, and she'd always love them as if they were her family- because in a sense, they were. But the wolf had grown up a lot over this last couple of months and she didn't depend on them like she used to. She would no longer be downtrodden by their careless digs or judgemental comments because they no longer mattered to her. She was happy, and in the end, that's all that truly mattered.
Whilst her and Klaus weren't technically together anymore, they weren't 100% separated either. They were testing the waters on their new relationship, both knowing they were the only people on earth for each other- no matter what life decided to throw their way. And for the first time in a long time, Thea and Klaus were both happy; both finally getting everything they'd both ever wanted. So, the wolf would be damned if she let anyone try and ruin it for her.
So, with her newfound confidence and the love of her life at her side, Thea couldn't help but beam in happiness as she welcomed the familiar sense of homeliness that seemed to wash over her as she walked further into the Boarding House. As she neared closer to the main room with Klaus and Rebekah both hot on her heels, Thea could hear the familiar drawl of her best friend causing the smile on her face to widen.
Upon entering the room, her eyes found Damon, Matt and Jeremy- the latter two chilled out on the sofa as Damon stood by the corner table, pouring out shots. Recalling the last urgent message she had received from Caroline, which she had failed to respond too, the wolf remembered the sudden development in Damon and Elena's relationship. Caroline had filled her in on everything that had been happening since she left by message or postcard, all of which Thea had neglected to respond to out of fear, including the fact that Damon and Elena had finally gotten together- until of course Damon decided he was too bad for her and ended it.
