'To Jealousy and Beyond'

"Why haven't you visited her since she came back?" Naguguluhang tanong ni Vernon kina Apollo hbang nakatingin lang ito sa kanila. Zeus already did them a favour to speak exclusively since he ordered all the other gods to leave the throne room. "Son, we are gods—"

"Don't hit me with that same reason every time I ask you that question. I know you have something else." Napatikom nalang ang bibig ni Apollo dahil sa sinabi ni Vernon sa kanya. Vernon seldom cuts him off and when he does, Apollo knows that it's a desperate call. Well, it's about Xin. Everything would be a desperate call.

Tumingin nalang si Apollo kay Zeus at ganun rin ang ginawa ni Hades.

"Ask the idiot." Pasimpleng sabi ni Hades at umupo sa upuan na katabi ni Zeus. Hades didn't even care if it was some god's throne and made himself comfortable on it. Napabuga nalang ng hangin si Zeus habang nakatingin siya kina Seth na naghihintay lang na magsalita siya. But before Zeus could say something, Hades interrupted him.

"He banned us from seeing Xin." Agad na sabi ni Hades dahilan para maningkit ang mga mata nina Seth.

"Why would you do that?" Hindi na napigilan ni Joshua na tumahimik dahil sa narinig niya. Zeus just hummed a certain tune and then tapped his fingers on the throne's arm rest. "Because the more we engage with her, the lesser her chances will be." Mas lalong kumunot ang mga noo nila dahil sa sinabi ni Zeus.

"Do you think the universe would like it if we kept interrupting with her affairs? Do you think Time liked it? Or worse, do you think The Creator would give Xin another chance?" Saglit na naningkit ang mga mata nila dahil sa mga tanong ni Zeus hanggang sa malaman na nila ang ibig sabihin nito. Of course, Zeus would not interfere with the affairs of Xin. Of course, Zeus would know about Time. Of course, Zeus would know about The Creator and Zeus knows the reason why they're here.

"Do you know where The Creator is?" Tanong ni Jun at nabigla pa si Hades dahil nagsalita siya. Knowing Jun, he rarely talks in front of others. Napabuga nalang ng hangin si Hades dahil nagawa lang namang magtanong ni Jun dahil tungkol na ito kay Xin. Of course, it will be all about Xin.

"Of course. We're gods." Hades answered cockily. Zeus just rolled his eyes out of frustration at tiningnan na si Seth.

"We could tell you where The Creator is, but the question is that.. are you sure that he's going to help you?" Tanong ni Zeus sa kanila. 'He, the creator is a guy.' Vernon noted habang nakatingin lang ng diretso kay Zeus. Nagkatinginan ng saglit 'yung team at tsaka seryosong humarap kay Zeus.

"We're not certain. But I think this is our last option." Sambit ni Seth pero natawa lang si Hades kaya kunot-noo nila itong tiningnan. Luce just shut off his ear dahil sa lakas ng tawa ni Hades. Umayos ito saglit ng upo at tsaka tumingin sa team. "Last option? Are you trying to make me laugh?" Natatawa niyang tanong at hinawakan pa ang tiyan niya.

"Ah, Xin doesn't really deserve to be under your care, huh?" Nagtiim-bagang kaagad sina Jun at Matthew dahil sa tanong ni Hades. Zeus just shot gazes at him pero hindi man lang siya natinag at tsaka nag-iba ng anyo para pantayan sina Seth. Pasimple siyang naglakad sa gitna nina Seth at Jun at sabay silang inakbayan.

Umalerto agad sina Jayden nung makita nilang saglit na nag-iba ng kulay ang mga mata ni Hades. Luce even got out of his seat para lapitan sila.

Hades' eyes rarely changed colour, and when he does, he's irritated as hell.
