Ana's POV.

I sat in the corner of the floor in the cart at terminus with the rest of the group. Today is my sixteenth birthday, and everyone is trying especially hard to make it special for me, but it is terrible. You were stuck in terminus, in a train cart with a group that you claimed as your family, and a boy that you loved, but he hated you, or so you thought. I tried so hard to hold back the tears, but they just began to flood out. For a while, everyone left me be alone, didn't say anything, they let me grieve. I want a birthday cake, a party, a sweet sixteen, but I know it wont happen, but i wanted one boy, but i know he would never want me back. Carl Grimes.

Carl's POV.

Ana sat over in the corner and cried. She doesn't know that I'm watching her, but she's so beautiful, even when she's crying. I want to hug her, hold her, and tell her that everything is going to be alright, that I love her, but she doesn't love me. I keep debating, I want to get up and at least talk to her but how? Finally, I stand up and walk over to her. "A-Ana, are you okay?" I asked. She stopped, shocked. "I-I'm fine." She says, forcing a smile. I bent down, and I decided to hug her. She froze for a second before hugging back, then hugged back. "Hey, cheer up." I said. "I got you something for your birthday, close your eyes." She closed her eyes, and I pulled out a necklace and fixed it around her neck, perfectly. "Happy Birthday, Ana." He said. &' before I could think about what I was doing, I kissed her. "I love you, Ana, I always have." I said. "I love you too, Carl." she said, smiling.

Ana thought spending her birthday in terminus was terrible, but it wasn't like she thought it was, it turned out great after all. ❤️
