will arrive back to the wheeler place around 12am, no one was awake. no one was waiting for him.

no one cared.

will sighed and walked down to his room to walkie eddie.

"hey eddie" will said softly as soon as eddie picked up

"hi will!" eddie said his soft voice cutting through the static

"uh eddie what would you do if i said i was gay"

there was a moment of silence and then eddie said barely audibly

the two boys talked for about an hour, mainly will whining about mike and eddie talking about how amazing richie was but they were then interrupted by a soft knock on the door

someone was awake.

"i gotta go eddie, i'll talk to you tomorrow"

will threw his walkie to the side and swung open his bedroom door.

standing there was mike wheeler

"leave me alone mike" will said while trying to shut the door in mike's face

"how about no" will said firmly again trying to shut his door but mike stopped it with his foot.

"why are you even up mike?"

"i couldn't go to bed until i knew you were okay"

will felt his stomach erupt into butterflies and he hated it.

"well i'm fine so goodnight!

"that's it?!" will got ready to slam the door

"i'm sorry for saying it's not my fault you don't like girls"

"it- it wasn't okay and it wasn't right and it wasn't fair. i don't care if you don't like girls and i don't care if you're gay. i would take back everything i said that night if i could. will i care about you so much and- and what gender you like won't change that, ever. i'm sorry."

mike ran forward and wrapped will in his arms. "i'm gonna do better this time"

mike sat down on wills bed. "so, tell me about eddie and derry"

and with that will began to tell mike wheeler about his life the past few months

and mike wheeler listened. a small smile on his face as he listened to the boy speak enthusiastically about all his new friends.
